Parked up at Turckheim today to take the train into Colmar and found just on the other side of the railway tracks was the service park for the Ralle du Centre Alsace being held this weekend.
Had a wander aroud the service park, and in amoungst the modern rally cars were a couple of my favourits from the group B days, a Lancia Delta HF Integrale and a short wheelbase Audi Quattro S1

Another sunny beautiful day, so another trip to a beautiful garden.

Gardeners World magazine have a book of gardens to visit and it’s all 2 for 1 entry, so making the most of them again this year.

This time it’s Riverhill Himalayan Gardens. Perfect time of the year to visit. Car parks big enough for a motorhome but phone ahead.

Driving into the city of Rotorua there’s evidence of thermal activity all around. Steam and bubbling mud coming out of all sorts of orifaces. Sadly, the Victorian Spa Baths have been closed for several years and are awaiting earthquake strengthening. The blue bird is a Pukeko which ignores the signs warning that the water temperature can reach 100 degrees Celsius.

Nice one, when we were travelling in NZ we went to Rotorua and stayed on a campsite called Cozy Cottage. The locals would come down to the lake dig a small pit and cook mussels in the boiling water. Loved it there and the area. Does pong a bit though. 👍

Our wild camping spot at Port Albert, one hour north of Auckland. It’s a tiny settlement with no light pollution so perfect for stargazing. A few photos of Hibiscus flowers taken while travelling on the appropriately named, Hibiscus Coast, and a Monarch Butterfly.

Lovely area, we stayed in CAP (charges apply ) on a farm overlooking the Harbour.

Pet hate. People dragging chairs on tiles making "that" noise.
My solution, chair leg socks.
Sad, yes i know.....................but quiet.
