A photo of the day thread

I needed a bit of induction hardened bar to make a couple of pins for the timber harvester, so called at my mate's workshop to pick up a short length. He had these on the counter next to a larger, 3 colour anodized poppy. One of the apprentices knocked up a pile of them last year on the CNC, he put the pic on Facebook and the donations came rolling in. He presented the British Legion with a cheque for £2500 last year !

great pictures , but a shame noone picked up the litter before the ceremony, I seem to remember the British Legion ensuring that the memorials were maintained or was that only on my area. I remember as a kid helping my father lower the flag every evening outside the ANZAC club never a speck of litter.

Ther was a litter pick done before the the event and if you have a look behind you will see the reths have been layed so obvusly after the ceremony.
And its leaves and the whit speaks in the Bach ground are small Crosse's the five year old scout group made from lollipop sticks.
If you can't find anything positive to post why not just move on rather than being as you are.
Being as nice as I can

Out at Donna Nook bombing range today. The air force obviously decided that it was a bit too chilly to venture out of their comfy 5 star hotels but the seals were pupping in force. They are not the slightest bit bothered about the aircraft

We visited Bill Richardson’s Transport World in Invercargill, South Island, NZ. A world class museum that rivals Beaulieu, in my opinion. The condition of the exhibits was fantastic and even if you’re not interested in old vehicles there are many other displays that are bound to please. In my case, the highlight was seeing a vintage tea towel on display that I had sold to the museum. Also chuffed to see our old jukebox in their collection.

It is amazing I believe. John has been there and spent many hours there. We have also been to Beaulieu and really enjoyed that.

We drove along the Otago Peninsular, Dunedin, South Island, NZ to reach the Albatros Colony. Only saw two Albatros but about two thousand seagulls! The stench from the guano was almost overpowering and we were lucky not to get s**t on from a great height. It was impossible not to step in it so inevitably it got trampled into the motorhome carpet.
