My mum used to live in Totterdown. Watching the balloons rising over Bristol was a memory I will never forget. Being close is great but watching them rise above the roofs was awesome.

Not a photo of “the” day but of “a” day.

Taken while on holiday in France.

Silviffer I really enjoy your wonderful photos, especially now that you caption them and tell us where they are. You are a great ambassador for Yorkshire and I yearn to re-visit sometime.
Can I suggest that when you load the photos onto the thread, you click on the small image and then it can be downloaded in full size which makes it easier for us to see straightaway. (I hope I’ve explained that correctly)

I did wonder how to display the full photo immediately and tried a couple of times without success. I’ll give it another go next time.

On my iPad, once I attach a photo, the small picture asks me if I want to show it as a thumbnail or full size. Clicking/touching “full size “ posts it as such.

I presume everyone was off grid. Were toilets provided? Five days would be a long stretch for some, especially as the sun doesn’t appear to be shining on your solar panels.
Whetherby is a great town and would have appreciated the extra visitors.

No toilets but 17 hrs of daylight is plenty to replenish batteries
