A photo of the day thread

Our local Cornish cove this week, looking to the left and right. Not really looking forward to 12 April. Just me and the dog and no need to worry about her pinching bbq sausages and other picnic food!

Trip to today to WELCOMING Tintagel. Motorhomes are really welcome in Tintagel Cornwall. They have at least 3 car parks that allow overnighting. I’ve shown the prices board on one of the larger ones ‘King Arthur Car Park’ smack in the centre of the village.
A few shots of today with light breeze and wonderful temperatures wondering around the Castle Grounds (English Heritage Site)

Agree, great little place to spend a few days, some wonderful places to eat and have a drink, good walks, and that bridge is awesome!!

Thinking about taking the motorhome for a spin there, then going down the hill on the small road to a little village and crossroads with a sign to South Downs Bridleway for the e bikes. For Hayling we park up at the end of the old railway bike path (in car) and then cycle down. Might take the ferry over to Southsea this year.
Me and son ride to Hayling about 7 miles then get ferry over ride along Southsea seafront and ride the cycle path alongside the A27 back home😁

When the tide is down you can can also ride along the foreshore from Emsworth and come out at the Ship pub at Langstone

There are also some very good rides up over the top of Goodwood and down the other side.
KingleVale is a good one.

Hooray, took MHome out for SD picnic with daughter to Grin Lo car park just outside Buxton, right next to CMC Buxton. Lovely setting, surprisingly quiet,
brewed up and just enjoyed the afternoon. Few pictures from there with two expectant dogs. Then blew MH tyres up. 👍😊👍

The one on the right looks like Charles twin ha!ha!

Football for number 2 grumpchild was cancelled this morning but he was all dressed up so found another use for the portable collapsable stools as goalposts.
Unfortunately mrs suave in goal was too good a target not to blast one at her and i may be in a tad if trouble. Wombles

Is that the same Goodwood as in the Revival. If so the best sporting weekend anywhere in the world IMO.
Lovely countryside.
This is the horse race course just up the road from the car track where they have the Revival and FOS

Use to live a few miles away and get the planes fly over at the events😁
Have only moved about 5 miles down the road so may still see them.

Last time I went to the Revival I thought there were to many people let in and did not enjoy it as much🙁

Been to 3 revivals thus far. Agree the last one (2 years ago) did appear to be a lot busier, of course it's the £££££££s eh. Lord March needs it.
Lovely part of the country.

How long has that bridge been up? Not been for quite a few years . We love Boscastle too.

Hi tribalbrit
August 2019, we finished a landmark project to reconnect Tintagel's divided landscape. In the Middle Ages, Tintagel's residents walked from one side of the site to the other using a narrow land bridge as high as the clifftops. But the crossing disappeared between the 14th and 17th centuries, leaving the castle divided by a natural chasm.

The new Tintagel Bridge reinstates the original route, offering visitors the chance to experience Tintagel Castle the way its medieval inhabitants once did.
