Now I remember! A beautiful town. We used to visit an elderly spinster aunt who lived there in the 70s. The steam railway used to pass the bottom of her garden. In more recent times we have stayed with a friend at the delightfully-named, Betton Strange. (Spell checker must have corrected Betton a dozen times before it accepted it!)Bridgnorth, Shropshire
That's shocking by anyone's standards. I used to admire the skill of the hedge-layer when I was young and would watch them for hours.On today's dog walk, this is what passes for hedge cutting these days, my poor old Dad (ex estate worker) would be turning in his grave !
At least they did it before the nesting season has gone into full swing ?
