Frozen Phil

Freezing fog, all day, - 2°, then finally, at 1530, the sun wins through to reveal blue sky and, unusually these days, a con trail.

The fog currently sat on the course of the River Caldew which rises on Skiddaw and flows to Carlisle

Drove down to Watermillock yesterday to carry out a couple of machinery repairs. Freezing fog all the way till we reached the side of Ullswater, where the sun was breaking through. Nice day to be out, but my toes were nipping by the time we got finished. The view is across Ullswater to Martindale with Hallin Fell just out of shot on the right.

Beautiful day for a walk on the roads round our house...

Haw berries against a nice blue sky.

Looking north here. Not quite clear enough to make out the Solway Firth, but the Dumfriesshire hills are on the horizon

Eastwards towards the clouds sat on the Pennines at Hartside Summit..

A couple of slightly different aspects of Carrock Fell again...

Pics please after fitting. I wouldn’t get them under my arches.
Will do, very popular amongst the Camper community here in Germany - friends of ours already have them on a van similar to ours.
Wont they be a bit of a hard rumbling ride on tarmac roads.?
According to the reviews and we've watched a few, hardly noticeable!

Washing the Van ready for it's Goodrich tyres!

I was reading about fitting these tyres on a motorhome forum here in Spain, and I seem to remember that fitting them was OK on 15" rims, but on 16" rims the tyres load ratings was under and not possible in Spain, don't know if it's the same in Germany. 🤔 Bob.
