A photo of the day thread

Going through some old photo`s of Weston Croft Camping and found this one..

2 Daisy`s for the price of one....

Could have been her siamese twin...

Not sure if it was a funster or some one passing through...x:-)

Drove around Lake Wakatipu and avoided going into Queenstown, the most inhospitable town for motorhomes in New Zealand. Then drove over the Cardrona Mountain Range to Wanaka. The comfortmatic gearbox gave me a few scary moments on the first hairpin bends until I remembered to put it into manual.

My misses and my late son had 8 weeks in North & South Islands touring around... While I ripped the front of a house and rebuilt it, had to get rid of them as there was no staircase for a few weeks.. :xdoh:

They loved it, and said if we were younger she would move there at the drop of a hat...

Love looking at the hundreds of photo`s she took...

You are one lucky so and so....:xThumb:x:-)

Me and Nikki would move there tomorrow if we we could. We spent three months there touring around in a small camper van and loved every minute. (y)

love Wanaka my daughter in law’s uncle use to be the Vicar there, had a wonderful holiday there about 10 years ago.

Decided to risk a short walk this morning as there was some watery sunshine and blue skies. Didn't last long as this rolled in from the south....

Adding to the soft snow on Carrock Fell and those b****y hailstones don't half sting your face:swear:

Forgot to add this one taken in the last couple of days showing "interesting" clouds over the Mosedale valley.

Drove up the hill to start the walk at a friendlier pace.

If was very busy. And lots of dogs jumping in big puddles 🤔🤪
The last picture is a great shot of how nature is gradually recovering 👍🏻

Loved Wanaka, though missed out on a flight through the mountains to Milford sound but better still spent on hour in a Harvard doing aerobatics over Lake Wanaka with a 747 Captain who wouldn’t take any money for the flight. New Zealander’s are the most friendly people.

This was taken at ten pm Christmas Eve 2020, it’s the High Street in our home town of Leighton Buzzard. Like many other towns just before Christmas it would normally be packed, not a soul to be seen, so so sad.

Neighbours tree got tipsy and fell over. Good job we hadn't stored a lot of our furniture and items in the shed over the festive period 🤦🏼‍♂️

I'm usually sitting in there watching the birds, so luckily I was late today.
