Camera body is Canon 7D mk11, Lens is Sigma 150-600 mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM.

Also have a 7D Mk1, both excellent cameras I prefer these cropped sensor cameras rather than the full frame.
Superb combination, that lens has to be the best value for money superzoom on the market, I've had 2 of them because I'm an idiot when it comes to lenses. I buy them, love them and then sell them.....then I buy another one

Dublin looking glorious today, looking south towards the Wicklow hills and north towards the city. Blessed to have this within my permitted exercise area

Out of interest Kurt and Ko you say " in your permitted exercise area.." How does it work in Eire, as in the UK you can exercise where you like.
Phil

Morning PhilMary, we are only allowed to exercise within 2km of home.
This was put in a month or so ago as virtually the whole of Dublin was escaping at the weekends and descending on the best bits of the Wicklow hills for their exercise and there was insufficient distancing happening.

On the subject of painted rocks...

This was on yesterday's dog walk. Notice the curiously coloured thing at the bottom of the photo.

It's a painted stone someone has placed beside the path.

It looks like a sunset over the sea I think. I'm not sure what the black wavy things are, some sort of wierd sperm perhaps?

Which conveniently brings me around to sex. ?

Look at these two primrose flowers.

This may be hard to see but in the upper image the centre of the flower has a sort of star shaped thing while the bottom image has what might look like a pin head.

These two flowers are demonstrating a thing called heterostyly which was studied by Darwin. It is also being studied by a professor who because of the lockdown can't collect samples so he asked on Twitter for volunteers to collect a leaf and flower sample for him, which is what I did on yesterday's walk. ?

You can read up on this curious natural phenomena on this site (below) or just Google for heterostyly in primula. The purpose of the adaptation is to improve pollination. Put simplistically the male and female parts of the flowers alternate in position. Nature is clever!

DBK you know you are supposed to move the stones to another place don't you? They can travel miles.

I paint and leave them around..... when not in lockdown. :(
I didn't know that! I shall have to go back and see if it is still there and grab it if it is!

Good morning everyone, well our guest was about again today swooped down bringing a starling with it,
nature very cruel but also amazing beauty, this is one very proficient killer.

I didn't take it but receiving a photo from my little grandaughter always gives me strength to carry on... Wish her mum realised the importance of it all. Xx
