Sunset at Cadiz!

We stayed overnight in the carpark behind the beach - it was lovely!

A very unloved Autotrail in a garden in Le Billot Calverdos area.( mot expired September 2017, so I guess that’s how long it’s been there. Fridge covers are off so I would think it would have a damp problem !! )

Great photos. I’m planning on visiting early May. Can you recommend any good stopovers with easy access to city?

We stayed at Camping Memling, which is about 3k outside Brugge. Getting into the centre was easy, either a 10-15 minute flat ride on proper cycle paths, bus or about 30-45 minute walk. It may be worth pre-booking on May, I believe it gets busy. There is an aire in Brugge as well, which looked well located part of a busy coach park.

To get to Ghent we caught the train, very regular, clean and on time. It took about 20-25 minutes. Then a short tram ride to the centre. While there others mentioned there is a campsite close to Ghent.

So many happy memories from our narrow boating days. Thanks
Have another memory. This is Chirk tunnel 241 metres long. I walked threw it and it’s dark. The locals call it The Darkie. This boat had just came out from it and will then go straight over the aqueduct.

Many thanks. I did stay at Cámping Memling a few years back to visit Brugge, but hadn’t thought about it as a Ghent stopover - makes sense tho’, perhaps revisiting Brugge as it’s a lovely place. Is the breaching whale made out of plastic rubbish still there?

We have also walked through the tunnel ... as you say it's very dark.
