A photo of the day thread

Went for a walk from Hope Cove, South Devon, this morning.

Perfect weather and very clear, we could see about fifty miles down the coast to about Nare Head beyond St Austell.

Mis-fired arty shot here of a flag tree against the sun.

We had lunch in one of the pods at the Cottage Hotel in Hope Cove. Curious things but good views from them. :)

Its the beach at Inner Hope Cove, photo taken from the path to Bolt Tail. Link below. Parking is a bit limited but there is more parking at South Milton Sands or by the Golf Course at Thurlestone. Acres of parking at Bantham Beach but a fair walk from there. Not MH friendly roads anywhere around here although just about doable in our Murvi delivery van - although we cheated and went by car yesterday. :)

Dropped pin
Near S W Coast Path, Kingsbridge TQ7 3HP

A small request.. "Please".........

When members put up their photo`s can we have a rough written idea as to where they were taken..???

I get great enjoyment out of looking at them..... but .... like the one above of the girder bridge...

Where is it.????? :thanks3:
Nobody seems to be listening to you Old-mo. I share your frustration. Here's a hammer to hammer it home?.

The sun has not poked his head over the horizon yet in Cambridgeshire.

For @old-mo and @KiwiKampers 52°20'27.6"N 0°21'00.1"W :xThumb:

I think it's more a case of you are farther to the West than where I am down here, don't worry the sun will be along anytime soon.

That's the correct location TonT but what is the connection with this place in Cumbria. ?

Stan Laurel was born there. :xThumb:

Edit: The reason the statues are at that location ? well Stan returned to the town with Ollie in 1947 when the duo waved to a crowd of fans from the balcony of the Coronation Hall.

Mrs DBK has been busy, this is confit tomato before being put in the oven for slow roasting over a couple of hours. Oil, garlic, thyme and of course tomatoes. :)

She also did some aubergines and plans to make this recipe from Rick Stein's Secret France.

We had a great couple of holidays down there, John. Bolberry House Farm just up the lane but some of the narrowest lanes I've seen, even grass growing up the middle of them!

The site was run by a couple of lovely but eccentric sisters. No reception building, they used to drive around the site a couple of times a day with a varying assortment of dogs?

Those pods weren't there then though

Beautiful area, thankyou?

Caleta de Fuste this morning.

A bit of a stand off the Heron knows that the exit to the sea is blocked off so the fish have to pass him to get to freedom☹
The shoal is about 2ft behind him the fish are up to about 12inches long.
