Tonight's pitch is at Port William, D&G.

If you zoom in on 2nd image, you can just make out the Isle of Man on the horizon.

Not sure on this, probably more in the Highlands, but are the wild flowers in the sea grass the start of the " Machar" that Peter May talks about in his Lewis Trilogy.?

Not read the Lewis Trilogy but I've read "The Wigtown Ploughman" and they refer to that area of Galloway as "The Machers". We often stay at a pal's cottage in Port William and can recommend The Clansman for a meal.

Done la route des cretes from cassis to la cliotat. Great road. Easily doable in a motorhome but we were on bike. Both towns had nothing to shout about but some great scenery.

Pelissanne salon and a little village called aurons.
I can tell you that aix en provence is best avoided as it is an area of development for my satnav.
Sun is out and here to stay. Party night tomorrow in the village so we will be here.

Salon was nearly tourist free. Pelissanne is a good town big aire for 20. Free. But they need to close it tomorrow night so have come the fp which is great. (See photo of outside from inside thread)
