A photo of the day thread

Just moved down from Rome to Naples for a couple of days (work.... not play)

With a crick in the neck through my room window, managed to get this picture of Vesuvius. Delicious mozzarella and tomato lunch....

Not been there since it first opened Wendy. Is it well established now?

I took a buss to the famous Bury market .. got chatted up and then realised he was a male escort .. :(

We went between Christmas & New Year, only up the road for us but could be anywhere it is nice. The Cafe next to the activity centre is also lovely (y)

It's opposite the car park (at the entrance to the country park). It looks like a row of cottages

I can see a Little Egret I think. Anything else of interest? Too early for most migrants I guess. :)

Members of the genus Lophius, also sometimes called monkfish, fishing-frogs, frog-fish, and sea-devils, are various species of lophiidanglerfishes found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. To the North Sea fishermen, this fish is known as the "monk" or "monkfish", a name which also belongs to Squatina squatina, the angelshark, a type of shark. The North European species is Lophius piscatorius, and the Mediterranean species is Lophius budegassa.
