A photo of the day thread

What a fantastic morning 4500 steps now and still in Leicester Square. Have been watching a street performer who we last watched in Melbourne a couple of years ago. Lost my partner to the M&Ms store. The place is mobbed. The sun is shining great day....
Would you believe it 6500 steps and we still not left Leicester Square. The sun is shining the place is humming with visitors from every corner of the planet. Just sitting down for my first wine of the day.

PS...don't take any notice of that clock it is stuck at twenty to three.;)

Well we are now home and dry after absolutely lovely day. Step count total now 23000 and feeling knackered well mine was 23k but my lovely lady managed 26000 this is what she gets for leaving me seated outside while she did the shopping thing. Anyway the weather has been a glorious 22 deg all day and the city is full I mean full of tourists. What a great capital city we have I didn't see a single problem anywhere and the tourists appear to be as happy as Larry. We got the jubilee line train back to Stanmore just 20 minuets where we had the car parked, cost just two pounds fifty to park the car for the whole day.
Looks like we are up early again tomorrow, meeting a friend for breakfast in Watford.....(y)

Hi Kiwi Brit thanks, not been down your way for many a year but it holds many great memories. I had a girlfriend in Christchurch when I was a teenager now that is a while ago;)
Being our first hot day of the winter London was really humming today, I love people watching too. you really do see some sights....(y)

View from half way up and then from on the Lamley viaduct near Haltwhistle.
Was going to take one from the bottom but the sun was shining straight through.

Tarot card reader, "Take care, you are going to be ripped off in the near future"
I could tell you a story, While we were at Leister Square yesterday there was some Bollywood filming going on, it was the real pucker job with 40 technicians and operatives filming these two stars dancing. Not my cup of tea but interesting to watch. Anyway some time later when filming had stopped we walked past Merlin Trotter and who was having a reading done was this big star himself. The chap who was the main star in the Bollywood film...:) Perhaps old Merlin is the real thing....;)

Spent many a child hood days there, and a few adult ones too...

Same as me, we used to live in Dorking when I was a child and then moved down to Mickleham, I was married in St Martins, Dorking - totally my home ground when I was younger.

I remember our poodle of the time taking a liking to the wild garlic which used to grow on the bank behind the lane to the Stepping Stones, she used to eat masses of it and then give us garlic scented kisses... not so pleasant though by the time it had gone through the body!

oh wow, I was born there as well!!!

and that assault course was in Boxhill School, we lived opposite and had the bells forever going off for lessons and the boarders, but we did get to swim in their pool in the summer - we walked all round the woods from Mickleham, round Juniper, through the Happy Valley and up to Boxhill - we ran wild in the summer sometimes with the dog at the time and sometimes with friends, what memories
