A photo of the day thread

I knew that one day the extra height in our van would come in handy.
Useful, if only to use it to feed an intravenous drip in to a sick puppy.

He decided to eat a stick whilst on the beach. After a very bad night it was panic stations and a call to the vet in the town near the camp site in Sicily.

Emergency call out, ultra sound, blood work, anti-biotics and follow up exam the next morning.....70Euros.

(Our vet at home wouldn't get out of their brand new Range Rover on a sunny day for 70 Euros)

All ok now, a very lucky boy!
Had to "love it" because your sick puppy is being well looked after, on the mend and going to be OK, and because he has his toys with him on his sick-bed.
Obviously don't love that he was ill in the first place though :shake:

PLEASE don't stop posting. Let us know when all is well.

Puppy update.

The vet was very happy with him after the follow up exam and he is now on lots of pills for the next week.

Having to stay on a lead and away from trouble. Unfortunately he is going to have to be muzzled for a while during walkies or until we leave here as there are too many distractions for him.

In the sun guarding his Mum today.

Unfortunately, we both saw the lizard disappear under this bush.........20 minutes later.....

Got a friends Weeton Terrier staying with us for the weekend while they go away.

Lovely dog, but his beardy muzzle is always wet! He gets on well with our greyhound too.

Don't we live in a beautiful world? Must take up photography - I have the camera, can anyone recommend a book on digital photography?

Buy a small decent digital camera, set it to automatic, point and press:)
That's a good way to start

Been taking photographs since Pontius was a Pilot and of all the books I have read I have ignored far more stuff than I use

The main thing is use the rule of thirds and ENJOY

Not exactly MH related but it's Mother's Day and we decided to have a "Prosecco Party"* in the absence of the (grown up) children. Couldn't resist a bit of "Product Photography" on this lovely bottle.
a Product - Prosecco Bottle 1920.jpg

Canon 6D. 24-105 f/4 L IS USM. (Some black foam, a mirror and my Wife holding 2 pendant lights). If I'd had a bit more time I'd have sprayed some tiny water droplets on the bottle...like wot they do in the marketing photos.

* Prosecco Party is a polite way of saying "Mum and Dad getting drunk on Fizz because the kids are away"
