A photo of the day thread

I rode in a straight line from Costa Teguise to Caleta de Caballo. No roads ;)

Then I took the coastal path all the way to Caleta de Famara. Only passable by dirt bikes or mountain bikes. It runs 50 yards from the coast all the way. Visible on Google Maps - satellite view

I took dozens of pics. These are the best...

There's no way to get into the sea safely there. There's plenty of safe beaches at Famara with big waves.

I was out for a couple of hours but only one rescue today. An old fella (Really old, but not quite as old as Mo) '\ had been forced into a large wall of ploughed snow and it collapsed and completely covered his bonnet and half way up his windscreen. Bless him he was panicking but I was right there within a minute of it happening. I had two shovels in the Lanny, a builder stopped and helped and we dug him out and he was on his way in 15 minutes hooting thanks for about half a mile as he drove off '\

Sorry no snow here but it looks stunning :drinks:

Love these hibiscuses each flower is about 5" diameter they only last just over a day but generally open lots of buds at a time.

Oops!

Double post.

My excuse, it’s either the intense cold and snow here or the fortifying G&T’s that is responsible.

I'm sure many Funsters have stood on deck and waved goodbye to Blighty as you leave Portsmouth. I must have 1000 photos of this scene from various trips to Le Havre, Cherbourg and Caen, but this, from January 2018, is my favourite.

I knew that one day the extra height in our van would come in handy.
Useful, if only to use it to feed an intravenous drip in to a sick puppy.

He decided to eat a stick whilst on the beach. After a very bad night it was panic stations and a call to the vet in the town near the camp site in Sicily.

Emergency call out, ultra sound, blood work, anti-biotics and follow up exam the next morning.....70Euros.

(Our vet at home wouldn't get out of their brand new Range Rover on a sunny day for 70 Euros)

All ok now, a very lucky boy!
