Oh no.... little 2yr old grandaughter arrived .. I sent the photos of the robin to her.

She breaking her heart .. she thought he was there permanently and wants to hold him.... :( I feel so guilty... :(

Ohhh you cruel Grandmother how could you let her think what she has.

We drove south-ish from Angouleme to visit a cave complex with early animal wall paintings and on the way to our night stop the satnav threw a wobbly and as a result we came across a medieval fortified village called Larressingle five kilometres west of Condom (Yes I know giggle giggle a place called Condom).

To add to the stunning sunset pics over Ailsa Craig by @namwaldog earlier, here's one of @andy63 a little bit further north, on Loch Linnhe under that same sunset, after a fantastic evening's paddle.

Loads of pics were taken, but this one is by far my favourite after we timed our return to the site to perfection, just before we lost the light altogether.

Fortunately the crowds on the shore weren't the search party looking for us, just fellow campers photographing the sunset.

I wonder how many holiday snaps we feature on after tonight

Another fine day on Loch Linnhe, with the low water entrance to Loch Leven opening up ahead of @andy63

7 miles paddling in the heat meant we HAD to replenish both liquids and solids at a local hostelry this evening and free of charge for me, as Andy picked up the tab. A good evening, with good food and good craik.....Cheers Andy  next one's on me !
