A photo of the day thread

Our view this morning out the back window from the top of the Ramparts in Angouleme. @BILL 875 is two motorhomes along from us.

Oh how lovely .. sitting in van feeling really miserable, allergic to pain killers, keep vomiting and look who's come to visit me ...:). He's eating my spiders on the mirror... one of which came in my van last night when I was driving down the M5 and swung in front of me and nearly caused a crash :o ...

Isn't he gorgeous ..

Is that the Aire on the other side of the river from the Old town, we tried were there twice this year and it was blocked of by concrete blocks.
Cheers Ed

Apologies for the delay in replying @Sheddy, I've not been on since. This what they call the free car park right by the old walls on the same side of the river near Quai Louis Blanc

His and hearse? The black plastic tube on the pop up roof is a solar water heater I think. It's just a black plastic pipe, so aerodynamic when the roof is lowered. Clever.
I'm not sure about the bottle jack. Either a primitive levelling device or more likely to add stability when the current occupants move around inside. Which they will do more than the occupants did in its first incarnation.

Well they have finally finished filming, what started out as exciting turned into boredom and wish it was over. We felt trapped while they filmed and being questioned if we lived here when we returned home after going out , made me feel a tad peed off.
But!
The view is of the garden square opposite with fog machines , was magical .

We are spending a long weekend in the Edinburgh area, mainly to catch up with some friends who live in East Calder.

Staying on the Linwater Caravan Site, our third visit as it is well located for our needs. It can be a bit noisy from planes as it's quite near the airport, but didn't bother us.

It's within walking distance* to the Jupiter Art Park where we have spent most of the day, some photos attached. A great place to spend a day (weather dependant of course).

*Walk from the site, round the park and back to site was just over 6 miles

The last photo was taken on the waok back down, where we could see the Forth Rail Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge and the new Queensferry crossing all at once.

Love those photos .. really do ... but that first one reminds me of the coming out of the well scene in the film The Ring....

@jollyrodger can you put you tube link on please ... film the Ring girl coming out of well .. thank you.

Lovely pics, reminds me of when we had the 2 working cockers, Max and Bertie. Every time we went over the water to Ulster to Elaine's parents. The two dogs always went into the calf pens in amongst the calfs to help themselves to the calf nuts. @Badknee just so there is no misunderstanding, Calf nuts are feed.;):D

Brings back great memories, here they are in 2010 helping me fish Luce Bay at New England Bay CC site.

The Adoration of the Magi by Reubens makes a nice backdrop to the High Altar:
