A photo of the day thread

More pictures from last nights light show in Le Mans. ( nuitdeschimeres.com ) sadly it was the last one this year.

The old city here is fantastic. If you like old/medieval towns this is one of the "must do's". Only stopped here by chance. Free MH Aire on the car park by the river. No services but right by the old walls.

Dex at Crimdon Farm CS near Hartlepool, this is one we'll definitely be back too. Dogs loved it as much as we did and Dex seemed to love the views too, although we had to put him on the table to see over the grass.
Felt a bit odd at first as they had a rally there too and we were the only MH out of about 35 units. All the rest were caravans until a Rapido turned up the next night.

The view from the aire at Montopoli di Sabina, Italy, - at 07:30 this morning! I got up specially for it - then went back to bed for my second cup of tea. :)

An HDR shot processed through Adobe Lightroom Mobile. So completely unrealistic!

Is that the Aire on the other side of the river from the Old town, we tried were there twice this year and it was blocked of by concrete blocks.

really a lousy few photos, but my first ever sight of the northern lights, need to practice, we are up here for another 10 days, this photo doesn't do any justice at all to what we just saw on our first real clear night and only a low solar alert (y)(y)

need to play with shutter speed and these are all hand held, nice shot of the plough though

Another beautiful day up in north Norway, now just starting out towards the Lofoten Isles, saw these close to our pitch, a pair of Goosanders (I think)

Had sea eagles fly by really close this morning but camera not to hand, just enjoyed the sight (y)(y)

View attachment 183530 Not very exciting but 13 solo female Funsters overnighting at Falaise, on the way to Twin Lakes!
Looks like a couple of men have slipped in there, those bonnets are a dead giveaway. :)

You can keep the cabbage (euch) but the rest looks lovely

Tidying up the MH after a weekend trip, ready to go back to storage, when a very young grey squirrel suddenly emerges from underneath the vehicle and starts following me around, and trying to run up my trouser leg. No chance - squirrels are basically rats with good PR so I'm not having one anywhere near my nuts. It takes refuge inside the front wheel, and despite me poking bits of twig through the holes in the wheel to dislodge it, the little sod won't budge. Here it is playing pee-po near the tyre valve, taunting me:

Broken Link Removed
Having had problems with rodent gnawings in the previous MH I consider what it might do if it gets in the engine bay and decide enough is enough.

I quite literally flushed it out with a watering can full of water poured into the wheel holes. I've no idea where it's gone now, but the MH is back in storage, and one hopes it didn't have a passenger in the engine.
