A photo of the day thread

IMG_5186.JPG

Lovely clear warm evening at lac de Thuy Aire just outside of lake Annecy. Booked into campsite "les Rives du Lac" for tomorrow for a day or so. Then off to who knows where.

Wow !!!!! That looks fun...
Was too. For the driver. Jane had a bit of a white knuckle ride though. No faith  The coach, five cars and one tractor I met on the way down were really good. Had to keep going cos if I stopped to give the brakes a rest, they would have over heated more as it was a very hot day. Needed air movement to keep them coolish. Well not not boiling:D tyre pal was going loopy as well with over temps and pressures.

Had to call into my old place of work today...

Getting close to first (of eight) live television shows starring Luis de Matos called "Impossivel".

Going out on Saturday nights, prime time...

My favourite saying as the pressure builds...

"I only work with my head these days."

Knowledge is power.

Thought you had filmed this video with a drone camera on your blog of Caen Hill Locks @Go Humberto!

Ok I understand. Not exactly filmed it. The Mavic Drone will take video AND 12Mp still photos (Higher resolution than I use for video).

It means I have the option to get very detailed photos rather than try and grab a frame from a lower resolution video. What's more, the image is in RAW format which is a fantastic feature that allows me to really make the most of the photo. It's a very sophisticated camera actually.

A few shots of the Small Batch site at Little Stretton in Shropshire. Only £16 per night, including EHU.

It is at the foot of the Long Mynd:

It's a pretty site:

There is a small stream, not visible in the photograph, just behind our van. Note that, even though the ground is only slightly damp, the friendly owner put down large plastic non-slip mats under our front wheels and another one just outside our habitation door "just in case". You wouldn't get that on a club site!

I should have mentioned in my previous post about the Great Batch site that there are two lovely pubs a few hundred yards from the site. As I understand that it is not entirely unknown :) for Funsters to enjoy a pint of beer, I made enquiries of the locals and was told that the local brews from Hereford and Ludlow are superb.

The specials menu at the Ragleth Inn looks rather tempting. Scallops with Oyster sauce sounds like food fit for a Funster:

Yes a very nice jesture. But I'm sure he does it to protect his grass/ground from being churned up. He's probably had to fill ruts in before lol.

I'm sure that's the reason for the ones under the wheels, although that is still showing more common sense than you get elsewhere. I think the one outside the habitation door is going above and beyond the call of duty.

Oops. Not Rabbie's by any chance? Do you have a dash-cam? Or was it a half-and-half sort of a thing?

I'd just got by a full sized coach that he was following when he hit me so he must have crossed the line.

Local drivers of large vehicles drive like nutters and the A82 is a disgrace safety wise
