A photo of the day thread

Heading across the North of Spain. Our favourite stopover so far, and it's free.

Funsters get everywhere...

Headed off south at 3.00 and, feeling a tad peckish, decided to drop into Rui's, the charming restaurant at the Pego Da Altar lake.

Cripey Cripes... the place was heaving with Funsters...

Life on the road hey!

JJ

There's no secrets when there are Funsters everywhere! Nice to have a quick catch up.

We moved on this morning and this is the view we've got to put up with for a few days.

Ought to post a couple of Maxine the motorhome did us proud even though I did knock bits off her
but repairs on going
2017-04-25 Maxine at Pen-Y-Llyn Anglesey (2).JPG DSC_0258.JPG

the big picture is a CL - - Pen-Y-Llyn near Valley - ALL pitches hardstanding - Water tap- grey water drain - 10amp Electric the site has toilets and Chem toilet point and they are in the process of installing showers too

The second picture is of new water heater vent that was delivered about an hour AFTER we arrived home yesterday - that was good timing
Oh and if anyone is into aeroplanes I have hundreds of the Hawk T2's that only fly out of Valley
Shame though the one I had of the pilot of one waving wasn't in focus enough would be a really good one to show

Just about ready for the off.
Just for a change, no last minute panic, looking forward to a nice leisurely stroll to Palermo for the ferry
to Sardinia.

Woke up to this.......Oh how we laughed!

Long story short. ADAC came good in the end, after much discussion I got my message across that even if I put the spare wheel on the van was too big to take in to town.
Recovery took me and wheel to the garage, and after much discussion, Italian style, it was decided that the valve was knacked. 20 minutes and new valve later it was all sorted, I then had to force some euros in to the mans hands as he said there was no charge.

( Thing on the other wheel is a piece of drift wood that SHE insists looks like a horse and SHE insisted was to be in the photo ).

Just because you can, should you?

Cardiff has a free Public Street WiFi service, router shown above, but now another router has appeared.

Along with these 'discs' in the parking bays.

I've been told that the 'discs' are sensors to tell if there is a car in the parking bay, this is sent to the router and the data collected at Council HQ.

Soon there will be an 'App' so you can find where there are free parking spaces!

My first thought is, "How do you use this while driving?" Second thought, "How much is this costing the Council Tax payer?" Final thought, "How long before this turns into some sort of tracking system?"

Would you find this helpful when you're looking for a parking space?

Has anyone encountered this elsewhere?

I support most things that help tourism but this seems something 'One Step Beyond!'

In Gloucester. I know what the room is meant for but unsure as to what action the sign is depicting.

What part was that? We were in Stannington, Sheffield.
Not really South Yorkshire, but the good old West Riding - Barnsley. (Though I haven't lived there for 40-odd years.) As a family we were very familiar with Sheffield - my dad was the pharmacist at The Wicker. He still lives just outside Barnsley.

Just arrived on North Uist. This was our first nights pitch.

Lunch stop today on South Uist.

Slightly breezy, but very warm and set fair for a while.

WiFi won't let me upload images will try later.
