A bit too cloudy for the big moon

Yes, I (always) use the basic editor in the phone, to add some vibrancy, and I also installed the Toolwiz App which lets you tweak more ... actually it lets you tweak loads of things, it's a very nice freebie App.

Editing photos is about making the photo feel like it looked at the time. It's rare that any camera can emulate what your brain remembered without a bit of help. It was VERY dark when I took the photo of the pond, not idea conditions for any camera, never mind a phone camera. The original image was quite dark and grey.

Here's one that really suited the S5 (but even then I made some edits). When you consider that the lens of a typical smartphone is about 2mm in diameter it's a miracle that you get any image at all.View attachment 133247

I really must invest in a tripod, even if it is not moving very fast and is much nearer than normal it is still a bloody long way away :)(y)

And I never saw a thing ... just flat cloud right across the sky. Thanks for the photos everyone .. would hated not to see it. (y)

Did you then edit it, please? I have the same phone but can't get the sharpness and effect of that. Am I missing something?
This is taken on the Samsung Galaxy 5S.

I have some expensive cameras and I have to admit I am VERY impressed with how a phone dealt with the scene (actually we need to stop calling them phones, they really aren't mainly used for speaking to people)

Seen that view several hundred times , on my way home from work for 16 years , although that was before 7 years a go I retired.
Photo taken from the ships bridge 2days before I left.

I get similar views ...mostly Apache Longbows...I live near, and cycle close to, Middle Wallop airbase.

It's not unusual to be tracked by the Apaches as I cycle about, or for a Chinook to land in a nearby field (which is something that never stops being bloody impressive... and scary)

Hi Go Humberto,

There's a big excercise going on out the back of Netheravon airfield at the moment with all sorts flying about even a Huey but it's very misty today I was surprised they were flying very low as well.
It's great out here something different every day.(y)
