Was aiming for moonrise here at 4:40pm but 8/8th cloud cover so thick couldn't even see the moonshine through it and I was safely tucked up in bed by 11pm
I'd have missed it Madcaravanner but at that time of the morning the present wife decided to pick a fight with me about the duvet, so I got up, and there was the moon in all it's glory.

Finally found some sun, if somewhat fleeting, after 16 days under the same cloud. :notworthy2:.

Its blowing a hooly but what a glorious end to another otherwise lacklustre day.

1700s 1800s. Often they film here, and the film companies don't have to do much to make it look 18 century!

Cheating a bit, a photo taken last winter! A stormy night in Cornwall.

Whilst waiting for my GP to ring with good news about a hospital appointment (Next Tuesday pm) I went out on my newly batteried off road scooter that has been out of use since before we went away in July out to our local Nature reserve
So I found a few things to photograph like this Wren - (Troglodytes troglodytes) sat in a Sloe tree

At last the parrots have arrived. They nested in the square opposite this summer and they finally found the nut feeders at the kitchen window.
They are very nervous , hence the poor quality photo.

Brighton i360 viewing tower. Worth the £12.50 if your in the area and the weather is good. It moves so slowly up and down that you hardly notice the movement. Photo quality a bit naff due to the pictures being taken through curved double glazed panels.

It's not just that this is a lovely spot or that the sun is shining or that the sky is blue or that the water is bloody freezing, it's also that it's me there hanging onto that kite!
I may be a bit geriactric but I do like to be beside the seaside, and preferably with wet feet.
