Is that near the place in Wales where they feed the red kites as the bird watchers look on from a strategically placed hide?
It's near but not the site / farm where they feed the birds .

A fine Welsh sea trout (now £24.00 per kilo at local fishmongers, if you can get one!) that survived an attack from an Otter and above it, a Grilse. Lucky me, both caught on consecutive casts.

Okay dad, now I can't make up my mind between a comfy armchair and a roof over my head - which is it to be? Tell you what dad why can't you put the coffee table over the armchair? Then I'm proper sorted, cos I'm worth it...

We're at Kettlewell till Monday .
In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Stopping on a temp holiday site. £8 a night. 3 great pubs in the village , lots of nice walks. Bliss.

Female red-tailed bumblebees, with one male in the first picture (no I didn't know that, I googled it (y))

This shows the 8 most common bumblebee species in the UK.....


.....apparently there are 24, plus 225 solitary bees and one honeybee ( https://bumblebeeconservation.org/about-bees/identification )

It's a first for me seeing a bumble bee nest, seen plenty of wasps and other bees nest..... We live and learn...(y)

..... but I agree Joy, they are pretty, and nice & fluffy & clean & cute - when they're not spitting that is - it's just a self-defence thing, not personal .....
