Hi everyone
We are currently parked at Shrewsbury after fitting in what seems like a week of things into 1 day.
The list includes

A meeting in Manchester
A site visit and measure in manchester
A pick up of wheel studs from a trailer company in Chester
A supermarket top up of silly things food wise which are sometimes difficult to find in continental Europe.
A filling at the dentist in Middlewich
A missed delivery of a new rim for a trailer
A conversation with rim supplier as the DHL app won't work
A conversation with farmer Jeff where I store some trailers, he's going to swap my tyre and fit the new rim (great relief)
2 pints of delicious Butty Bach beer In a local pub near to our sleepy spot
A well needed meal at Hickorys smokehouse
Waking up 2 hours ago thinking to myself I hope DHL find the farm/storage next time

Not too bad a start but it did seem as we deserved the beer and food last night, it should be a decent drive today to the camc site next to Folkestone.
We are looking forward to this trip as it seems we have been in the uk too long over this summer.
This was due to family time which is always nice and a bit of dental work that was overdue.
We decided to use the chunnel which does seem to have gotten quite pricy but when I gave Phil the options he insisted on tunnel even when I would have been happy with irish ferries.
Looking forward to a easy time in france with no set path just sticking to the east side as we are off to Dusseldorf salon to view electric bikes and other bits we need.
We may call into Luxembourg as its been over 5 years since we where last there and possibly the mosel region again, not sure we will see where the wind blows.

Closer is another nice town Bad Konigshofen northern Bavarialovley stellplatz nice town not alpine but old

Well after the music from the rave next door went onto 4am I'm surprised that we had the energy to cycle to Andernach along the river, it was lovely, 25km there and back.
Love these new ebikes.
Anyway lunch/tea was a lovely starter of blinis smoked salmon with cream cheese and Dutch caviar (never knew that was a thing) washed down with the last of the French cremont from aldi/lidl.
We followed with home made tatsiki, tomato and red onion with avacodo salad. Buttered new pototes and crispy chicken legs done in the air fryer.
It was delicious, we washed it down with a 2022 Muga white rioja.
Altogether a perfect Sunday.

Currently at a shell garage near to Koblenz doing our laundry at a revolution style outside laundry.
After looking at searchforsites decided on Ediger-Eller, which we have been before but hey ho I'm in a non researching mood and that will do 😄, plus it's not too far away.

We did end up at Ediger-Eller, after chilling most of the afternoon we went out for food and drink and went to the first available location, great food and wines aweingut Peter Andre.
Yet the best part part was the after dinner drinks at the Walter j.oster weingut.
The sparkling rose and there premuim red, oh my god amazing and I'm not usualy a German wine lover.
We may buy some in the case if it's not too prohibitive.

Ediger Eller is where we all met you both 2 x years ago. :)

Have another sparkling Rose for Rita, and a Dornfelder Red for me please. ;)

Enjoy,

Jock & Rita.

Or a nice glass of Dagernova no1! German pinot noir is so underrated.

Some of the tastiest (in my opinion) Reisling type dry wines come from the Mosel, crisp with great acidity, get yourself a Clemens Busch, Marienburg Auslese Reisling, the 2018 is pricey but very good, Trocken is dry and more to my taste, don’t be put off by the cheaper ones as some are from tiny estates from higher up the slate hills and can cost as little as £5 or £10 and are superb. If Red is your fancy try the Spätburger, of which there are many different brands, it’s a Pinot Noir (it’s rarely called that though!) which is grown all over the Mosel and can be excellent, have fun.

We travelled so far, actually no we didn't 🙂.
Currently parked up at Zell.
Managed to pick up some lovely cake and bread at a little farmers type market in the centre, we then wanted to find somwhere for lunch and this can be an issue along the Mosel as a lot of places are shut the beginning of a week.
Found a lovely spot called "delicious" and we had a superb burger each and I forgave that they served it in a brioche bun, sorry the picture shows a half eaten plate as I was very hungry and forgot to photograph it 😋.
I love the Germans for coffee and cake time or as they say Kaffee mit kuchen which we enjoyed back at the motorhome with coffee and a lovely coffee liquor from Italy we recently bought in france for our espresso martini moments.

Can you spec a Winzerautomat on the new van? Be better for you than a washing machine!

Well traben-trabarch was frustrating, we have used the stellplatz before and it uses a camera system of numberplate recording and the barrier lifts, unfortunately it wouldn't lift even though the site was only 60% full. The cleaner tried to help but it still wouldn't work, no management on site so we left and are now very happy on a front riverside pitch at Minheim further down the Mosel.
Clearly it was meant to be.
After a quick coffee we are off on a bike ride, even the weather is better 😄😄
