Busy busy busy tonight at Oasis de Tighmert. Counted twenty odd vans outside the perimeter of the compound. Don't know if they pay or not.

There was a group of three French vans who stopped and asked us for directions as were returning from Friday prayers (not). When we got back to the oasis they had grouped like wagon train in a triangle and were gesticulating like red indians - never met French so jovial.

Later a couple two vans away were intrigued by Jess and played ball with her for ages. We had a good chat as their English was excellent. When Jess took her headless duck toy over to them, I shouted 'ici est la tete' and threw it towards them which made them all laugh.
There's us, two dutch vans and the rest are French. Cant get enough of this entente cordiale mes amis.

So you help a funster out...He has the blow out and there you are on your hands and knee's in the desert changing a tyre.!! All the dust, dirty hands..etc

So at a sit down in the evening his idea of a thank you is.........

Twiglets !!!! Bloody Twiglets !!!

May he hang his head in shame..........
At least carol gave me a cider..

(I told you I would tell everyone)

I mentioned Said the propane man. He runs around in a nearly new grey van and comes onto the site at Tagazhoute

Said gentleman returned with my bottle today, cost about £14. He told me he had it filled at Sidi-something - near Tiznit I believe. Unfortunately I am unable to report on performance or even as to the colour of the flame as the Spanish connector is reluctant to mate with the bottle. I turn the red knob on the top but the pin inside, that should open the bottle valve, does not move. Hopefully the wind will subside tonight and I will attempt a repair although I don't know how. :Eeek:

Suggy, thanks for your emails, wiffy is iffy. The camp site (on the video) is the second site on the left as you enter Foum Zguid (recommended) We stopped 2 days. Rachid will look after you if you come this way. The road is risky, we had a blow out. No decision yet where we are heading next – breakfast meeting..if anyone wakes up after last nights fun! Will try to email later.

Brilliant, thanks for these instalments, just making me more determined that this is want we will do next winter.

What happened to the puppy?

I enjoyed it greatly too (especially the music again!) It would be great if you could string all your Morocco videos together and make a travelogue DVD - I'd buy it! :thumb:

Great driving, the little puppy was so sweet. Its looks lovely and hot and great apart from the sandstorm.

Dirum they will be cooked tonight outside coated in seasoned flour with garlic and onions, then off for Beer o'clock with Malcilm & Cathrine Bolt and any of the gang who are around.

While we were out we stopped off at the French Pizza restaurant where we tucked into first class pizza chips and coke £6 for the two of us.

Met up again with Bob and Ellie and then Suggy and Rosie plus Peter and Elaine arrived at Auberge Borj Biramane, near the town of Icht - yes its Icht and not Itch:Rofl1:.

French owned and operated, and consequently immaculately kept and in a stunning location. We have ordered food at the restaurant for tonight. Bob reckons they have a French wine he knows which is normally four euros in the supermarket on sale in the restaurant at the equivalent of seventeen euros.

Perhaps Suggy can sing for his/our supper and we may all get a free drink as well :Rofl1::Rofl1:

We all cooked the Tagine, with local gas bottles - metal dishes.

John and Steve are becoming very 'close' to 3 camels that are camping with us. :Eeek::Eeek:

Send our regards to Willhelm, small world.

Yes, getting a bit worried about the tooth holiday now, but at least I will be able to look Neil in the face again, as the Johnny Deep look is not any good unless he is going to grown his hair.

Hi Guys

Currently here in Agadir at the Camping International - such a wonderful place :Eeek: !!!

Anyway this is old news but does anyone know if there is an Afriquia service station near Agadir that sells LPG? Apparently one exists but we can't for the life of us find where it is. Failing that there is apparently a place on an industrial site just north of Agadir that sells/refills bottles? Are we right?

Was at the Cascade Waterfalls on Wed, tried to get to Ouarzazate on Thurs but denied because of the closed road over the Atlas Mts (snow!!). Heading up the coast tmrw past Taghazout. Happy days!

Read back through the thread there is a guy at Tagazhoute - his name is S'aid who will fill with propane but it takes hime two days. He told us he goes to Marakech to fill up the bottles. Check the posts from Stevebill for S'aid's phone number. :thumb:

Just had a lovely meal in the Auberge Borj Biramane. One of the owners Paul (Frenchman) took great delight in telling us that France had just beaten England in the 6 nations in Paris by deux points in the closing minutes.

When I said drinks on the house mon ami - vive la France he threw a deffun :Rofl1:

MrMotorhome;930194 We all cooked the Tagine said:
Can we have a film on how you cook using the Tagine? I always thought they were more decorative than useful, but obviously not if you guys are using them. Be interested in how to use them on a single burner, or do you put them in the oven?

We arrived back last night to Taghazout from getting some work done on the van. The work started on Wednesday and finally finished Saturday afternoon. I can't stress how pleased I am with the quality of the work that Mustafa and his lads do and at such a reasonable cost.

I would highly recommend him to all that are visiting the area and need something done.

Daiboy and Marjon are gong back on Tuesday to get the rest of their work completed. Whilst we were there Kiwi Colin and Makems had work completed. I was very impressed with the paint job that Colin had done. Transformed the appearance of his van.

I am due to pick up a MIFI which Mustafa is overseeing the repair and then on Tuesday we start to travel north.

Don't go parking too close to anybody in Marjane Colin :Rofl1: with you new paint job. Safe journey back north to you and Tina.

All the best
