After leaving the site at Plitvice we went a few miles further down the road to Rastoke.
Whatever you do do not follow your satnav to the parking that turns left before the flyover bridge. We did and had to reverse out. Opposite this entrance on the other side of the main road is a turning that leads up a hill to an aire. It looks a nice place to stay and weprobably will if we come back. Just after the turning to the aire is a car park with nothing on it. There was a height barrier but it was on the floor. Not sure if it was intentional or not. Anyway it was free.
We walked down into the town.
The whole place is built around the waterfalls.
Restaurants are perched on top. Bars are sat in the middle of the water.
From the small bridge we could see a tightrope stretching right across to the other side. We watched them for a while which was entertaining.
One of them started doing it blindfolded but he fell off. He was attached to the line though.
It was a very beautiful place and a nice stop on our way north.
