Ghent, where we should have started our journey all them weeks ago.
The site is in transition. New stellplatz being built and lots of cabins.
At the moment though it is uncared for and needing work. Could not have a pitch without electric and the electric points are miles away from the pitches and under bushes nettles and weeds. I hated it, Ang and Paul put up with it for Ghent.
We were spending two days here. First day we went in on the bikes and parked in the underground free parking near the St Micheals bridge.
Also here if you have Bosch batteries you can charge them up for free. The local council are clamping down on cycle parking and if you do not park on a recognised cycle park your lock may be cut off and your bike taken away.
Lots of bars selling lots of beers. The choice is amazing but some are weird flavoured beer. I stuck to what I know and had a St Bernardus (12%).
The next day we did a boat tour of the city sights and then walked around the old town.
Graffiti street.
More beer was sampled.
Unfortunately Ghents smallest pub was shut.
We had a beer in the "famous" Waterhuis Bierhaus.
Well they said it was famous. Lots of beers on draft.
Angela had a white chocolate beer!
We managed to cycle back along the canal without falling in.
