If they were genuinely overcharged that’s a nice bit of karma . I am surprised people fall for these charlatans and continue to donate money .

No , it wasn’t too heavy, you didn’t have the correct license to drive the van because it was over 3.5T and you didn’t have a C1 entitlement, and hadn’t up-plated it !!!! ( despite being warned) . 🙄

They undoubtedly need money, we all do, don't we? They put a fair amount of work into it and make decent videos and are a bit of light entertainment.

Both of them seem happy people and always seem to look on the bright side of life. I can understand people not liking their videos but to revel in their misfortune, the van breaking down, is a bit nasty tbh.
 
I actually don't like them from the numerous videos I have seen over the years. I think they're pretentious and patronising, but I don't wish them any misfortune.
 
It's his Mrs I feel sorry for, it's bad enough watching him pontificating half a hour a week but having to put up with him all the time must be enough to send over the edge.
And as to the van, I know noone likes to hear I told you so on here but I think if we look back we all knew where it would end a couple of years ago.
Amazing it's lasted this long.
But you can guarantee there will be plenty willing to help them for free just to get on YouTube.
 
In their latest vid. He said the problem with van was now in the hands of legal people. Hope he gets the right result.
But on a side note. He was sat on floor barefooted in sunshine. My guess they've gone off on more of there travels. While it gets sorted.

Too much of what they say is just plain wrong or ill informed. As others have said the van weight and license was an obvious one. But when they went to Europe they were totally ignorant of all the rules. It was though they never read anything or watched any one else’s videos about going abroad.

Exactly all though he thinks he knows it all he is completely ignorant in motorhoming but tries to tell everyone else how they should do it.

If you guys are right about van being over 3.5t and yes I know he doesn't have a c1 license.
And van isn't upgraded. So can someone list laws their breaking and would insurance be valid.
Just asking

But that’s what they want - the more people watch them the more views and the money they get! They revel in being idiots as that’s what’s selling them 😕 My main gripe is what they expect to suit them e.g. they’re a stealth ‘furniture van’ when it suits them, but when it doesn’t, they’re a camper van? They go down narrow country lanes when it’s obvious they’ll struggle then moan, and overly expect free parking everywhere. They started off watchable but I switched off sometime ago especially with their ‘click bait’ style of opening YouTube page/frame, but then ends in a moan fest.

They have now had the van up plated and he took his C1 and passed . They were warned over a year ago but are now legal .

It does look like a exciting thing for young folks though doesn't it and I presume we are about a week behind in their blog thing so presumably they have done some of it.
But she seems to be out of it most of the time just doing what he says.

I know they say she does most of the editing of the videos, but at times I worry/feel uncomfortable about their relationship. He seems a bit controlling to me.
 
She seems to be in a different world, yesterday she said , look at all the wonderful food they give us ,then said I hope so we havnt seen it yet.
Just a small thing of no consequence but she comes up with them sort of things all the time.

Another couple that love themselves so much that if they were made of chocolate they would eat themselves.

Sign of the times tbf, it's in every walk of life, people that couldn't make it as TV presenters decide to buy a camera.
There's a few out there that offer decent info but boy, some of these people..

They have been living in a van for about 6 months over 3 years. The rest has been spent in hotels , air B&Bs and parents house. Not even close to a real full time van life situation.
“ oh it’s cold , let’s go backpacking for 6 months “

I did know, I have watched this pair right from the start and I will admit to subscribeing at the beginning and I actually came on here at the time admireing them for doing it but as time went on you could see they were nothing but con artists and they just get worse and worse having to try and beat there last schemes.
And you can see he is slowly doing his Mrs in , she was a nice young woman at the start but she just looks older every time they come on.

There are very few of the youtubers who are truly fulltime vanlifers.

Many are just full of shit.


There's a few I watch off and on , project Amber is one of them. He annoyed me during covid with his daft escape to Scotland episode and I still think he exaggerates things for clicks but overall he's one of the best ones who really does do fulltime vanlife, although I do think he has the benefit of a few quid behind him.


But a lot of the others it's just money making
