Those Happy Days

its the woman who does all the filming, editing and drone work apparently..
are they still in india?
made me laugh to read the yoga instructor thing, but they have done a couple of ashrams whilst they've been out there so they must be experts now, bless 'em..
they're quite a likeable but very naive couple in some ways..
haven't seen the last couple of episodes so as i said at the beginning, don't know if they are still in india or now home to their furniture van..

Didn't someone turn a tuk tuk into a camper on one of George Clarks amazing spaces programme?
That would have been perfect for them ...

They are among the most creative title baiting YouTubers though ...

I stopped watching them ages ago!
Yeah and me, but this latest one just came up in what's new so thought I would have a look, that's more than enough for a while though.

i do think though that some of them are genuinely affected from time to time, its not a lifestyle i would like or choose. if they are genuinely affected then they have my sympathies, it doesnt stop me disagreeing or making comment, but i would hope to do it in a such a way that it doesnt add to their 'issues', though i dont always get it right !

I agree with that but my point although I might well be wrong is, it seems to be a roundabout they are all jumping on.
No mention of it before now it's spreading among them.

I agree, I get the impression that they all monitor each other's viewing stats and if one gets a good response they will try a similar theme. For instance "Budget" van builds seem to have become popular over the last couple of months too...

Cheers

It seems to me that they're looking to supplement their income. Although The F#cks, erm i mean The Rucks have put their way to small for 5 people for longer than a week or so up for raffle at £5 a ticket because they couldn't sell it. They stand to make a big loss the way it's progressing. Mr Ruck is actually quite a competent joiner from what I saw during the build and his work looks quite decent, though some of their 'design choices' were debatable...

The way they’re going through the money he’ll be back on the tools in a few years!

But hey ho, their money, their life, their business👍😁😁

But if they choose to share it with everyone in order to profit then their business becomes "fair game" for those that are interested surely. Not a criticism and not that I care, just my thoughts on Vloggers in general...

Cheers

Hi red you’re probably right but what I really meant that it wasn’t any of MY business what they do with their money, it was just an observation

Has anyone else noticed that loads of these YouTubers have suddenly developed "mental problems"

You know why that is don’t you……………………..cuz they’re mental. :rofl:

There is a couple on there, from uttoxeter I don't know them personally but I know their parents and relatives, just normal down to earth folks.
She worked in an office,he worked as electrician, and they sold up and went to Europe in a vw converted van about a year ago , been all over and even parked it over there and went to Vietnam for a month, anyway they are back now, and planning a bigger van and off again but even she has started coming up with this "mental problems". They have done nothing but holiday for a year and she now has problems she didn't have before.
It's all beyond me.
Btw they are called jammy gits on YouTube if anyone is interested.

I’d call anyone a jammy git if they can tour for a year🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😉

You have to wonder how they will cope with the real world, if they are having mental problems now.
It's well beyond my understanding, but "mental health issues" seems to have become virtually a badge of honour, a fashion accessory almost among a section of society, seemingly mostly at the younger end.
I've no doubt many do suffer and they need help, but why so many youngsters claim to be affected is beyone me.
I also wonder if they have been diagnosed by an expert or by Dr Google ? Or are they just feeling a little fed up with their lot and attaching a fashionable name to it.
I can't believe life is that much different for 20/30 somethings now than it was for the same age group in the 60,70,80's
Different pressures I'm sure but not vastly different.
I wonder if it's the fitting in with the crowd thing, 10/12 years ago youngsters all used to walk around town carrying a bottle of mineral water, never see it now, they all carry a Starbucks / Costa Coffee mug around, why, like they need to slurp coffee on the move to stave off dehydration or worse.
I feel for the mental health experts.

How do they know they have got it? Not knowingly suffered from it I have no idea if I have had it it or not, I know a lot of folks will say I'm mental but is that all I have got to go on.

I remember when footballers who had opened up about depression got a hard time from people saying 'how can they be depressed making all that cash?'

I though society had moved on a bit. It maybe has but it seems MHF is still lagging behind a bit.

Yes it seems quite trendy, for some, to have 'mental health' issues. Maybe they need to distinguish between true 'mental illnes' and feeling 'pissed off'.

It's not trendy. It's just that thank god, people can now talk about it because the stigma is getting less and less
As someone who has spent 43 years with mental health issues with crippling anxiety and OCD, having to hide them as best as I can until around a decade ago, due to feeling ashamed and different, i can assure you and other commenters on here, its far from wearing a 'badge of honour'

I think the phrase is 'let's get Britain talking' - but I don't think they meant it in this way (sorry, I really don't mean this to come across being rude but mental health is so very close to my heart....I nearly lost myself years back and I'm sure others on here have gone through similar themselves or through others they know) I just think we could all be a little kinder to others 🙏

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for this pair. I think they’ve made some very strange decisions in the past relating to their van but given the money they’ve spent on trying to cure their van’s mechanical issues I think they could rightly expect to go for rather longer before another lot of serious engine issues. I find myself feeling sorry for them as the stress and financial worries must be massive.

It’s all about the GoFundMe and PayPal donations from gullible and vulnerable subscribers. They know exactly what they are doing .
I don’t watch them anymore. I commented that the van is obviously well over 3.5T and couldn’t be driven on his licence last year . My comment was removed and a year later they admit they were overweight and he took his C1 🙄.

Need to find a mechanic they can trust. There wondering from garage to garage. The engine change was 3k plus extras of 7k! I can understand a clutch and maybe injectors but the rest seems unnecessary.
