Just bought some great silicone casserole dishes with lids. We make casseroles, curries etc and freeze them in the casseroles for the van, then when they are empty they just fold down flat and dont rattle.

Cooker to the freezer and back to the cooker, no hassle or rattle.

Also just bought some ceramic knives, they seem very good up to now.

Silicone cook pots, glass knives, whatever next?

It's a sickness .
As a result of threads about using EHU instead of gas...
...I've now acquired a small oil filled radiator, a low wattage kettle, an Aldi Induction hob... and a set of Tesco pans that will work on it .

That phone works miracles. We bought one 3 months ago and haven't received a single nuisance call since. Down from 8 - 10 a day.
I'm on Virgin cable Tony and I had to phone 150 to get caller ID enabled. Normally this incurs a £2.25 pm fee but surprisingly they gave it me free. Apparently they have promotion codes and the like and staff can use discretion to give it free.
Anyone not in our phone book now faces a blockade and the answer phone  bring it on!! tw@ts

Sounds good. can you set it to give a message to unrecognized numbers? What happens when an unrecognized number calls?

Used to go with the olds! Now I have one of my own :)
Four new tyres as the old ones had seen much better days, approximately 40 feet of copper brake pipe and associated fittings, new exhaust down pipe, labour for fitting the above items and an mot test. Not too bad to get a 29 year old motorhome through the mot with no advisories!!!

After that, I decided Charlotte needed a bit of a makeover and have treated her to a new spare tyre cover, some dash shine, some heavy duty cleaner / bug remover, three sponges oh and a dangly air freshener.

Now all I need to buy is a bag of haribo and then tell my daughter she can have some when Charlotte is clean :D

Nicads were a pain having to fully discharge them before recharging and the power drops off as they discharge.
Li maintain the power right to the end.
I never had a warranty of more than 12 months with nicads and they must be stored fully charged.
I am blessed with living 10 minutes walk from a major Makita service agent and the battery I recently exchanged was four years old but lucky for me their diagnostic machine was playing up so they swapped it :p
The other aspect is that there are a huge amount of tools that use the LXT battery and I have many of them.

Any battery is a "consumable" at the end of the day but the performance difference of Li over Nicd is huge
im with terry to say nicad are crap is a ridiculous statement i have both used daily they both do the same job in some ways i prefer the nicads as you know when the charge is going rather than the dead stop with li and if you stop using the nicads you can often get that last screw in five minutes
chippies i know are still using the 9v nicads makitas as the balance is better than anything else when boarding all day and as terry says why should you have batteries failing even if you do get them replaced gratis

To listen to you two anyone would think Nicads don't wear out or tire
Personally I'm praying mine (lithium) will fail in time to get a brand new shiny replacement free (y)
