Trogir

On the outskirts of Trogir is a fabulous campsite - Amadria Park. Again a large resort type site with lots of chalets. They have a shuttle service from the airport and we met quite a few english couples that had flown in. It is perfect for visiting not only Trogir but also Split.
The camping pitches are tiered down to the coast, the ACSI ones being a bit set back.
We got a good spot out of the dozen or so free spaces left.

The site has great facilities. More than one of each.

A short walk north along the coast leads to a little fishing harbour with a few bars and restaurants (Seget Vranjica).
The campsite had its own boat that takes you to the town of Trogir. It didn't belong to them but was run by a couple of young women but it only went from the resort to the town about three times a day so it was exclusively for the campsite.

The boat ride took about 30 mins down the coast and it was very pleasant. No problem with Sam on the boat.

As we got closer the better it looked.

Trogir is built on a small island and is rammed full of character and charm. The main harbour area was full of expensive boats. There were lots of nice bars and it was spotless.

Just inside the gates were streets full of little shops and bars and eateries. Very much like Dubrovnic but without the Game of Thrones tat. (Even though some of it was filmed here).
We wandered around the walled town and we all loved it here.

If you are coming to Croatia it is a must. The Rafioli are like mince pies and very nice.
In the town square was a quartet singing, A big crowd surrounded them and they were selling cds. They might have been famour there for all we knew. I must admit they were very good.

Back at the site we went for a swim in the sea and in the pool. As with all beaches in Croatia that we found they are just pebbles. A lot have concreted areas with handrails where you can walk into the sea. I had some cheap swim shoes bought from Aldi years before that came in very handy.

On the night we had a meal in the pizza restaurant (there's another restaurant and a snack bar.
The next day we chilled, went swimming and had another walk into the village.
We stayed at https://amadriaparkcamping.com/ €23 ACSI
