Decided to move a short distance to this area parking in Palencia. There's also a via verde near here and I didn't want to travel further north as there was some bad weather forecast for the next couple of days in the coastal regions. We've stayed at this parking area before, it's free to park but the facilities are paid. Saying that, the showers are excellent and there's washing machines, electric if you need it (ā¬4 for 12 hours, 6A) and a motorhome wash bay. It's a short walk into Palencia as well so there is plenty to do. The city centre was busy tonight, I managed to resist going to a bar, cycling to be done in the morning 
. Edit: the via Verde was a dirt track and there was a strong headwind but it was pleasant enough. Decided to stay put at Palencia for a few days as the weather's good unlike further north and there's plenty to see in the city.
