Your Beer of the week

Not sure if I have posted this before (probably have).

Hah Heineken !!!

Should not complain as they are one of our largest customers but Texcel Breweries on the Isle of Texel (Most Northernly Part of The Netherlands) is worth a try and a visit.

I discovered Budweiser Budvar in Costco about 6 months ago , I've barely drunk anything else since, though my sister did buy me a box from beerhawk , there were some nice ones in there

April was a very poor month for new beers, probably the worst month since I started doing this blog. I have looked and there are only three new beers for the whole month.

That's not a Skinners I've managed to try yet. I do like their Cornish Blonde though. ;)

The third one on that list appeals to me Ralph, ie, Belgian, strong and sweet. :)

A couple of them in front of the telly of an evening, would suit me. 👍

I've not had anything recently, that I've not shared on here already, so nowt new to report on I'm afraid.

I should have been on the .......

Fullers ESB, not available on draught up here and you don't see it in the supermarkets but Fullers have an online shop and free delivery over £50. Down to my last 4 bottles at the moment.

If you've got a polish shop nearby Lech is nice , I've seen it in cans elsewhere but the polish shops have in glass bottles

I second bishops finger only £1.20 in certain supermarkets
Aldi and Tesco usually, and a fine ale with a malty toffee flavour to it. (y)

Cheers,

Jock.

We have a tap room Mutley Plymouth and brewery at Royal william Yard,Hoping to visit after 17th,will update on beers etc then🍻

Yes. Fairly strong and to put it into context, before Tesco and the others improved their range of craft beers, I was used to paying double that for similar beers at my local specialist

You might be surprised at the prices but this place is busy

Most are short production runs. I tend to drink less, higher quality beers

Not sure I will have any new beers this month, we are up to the 20th and I have no new beers in at all, I do still have plenty of beers to drink though.

I may go back to the start of all of this and pick out a few really good drinks but do not worry, I may soon be out buying again soon.

I have had a look back at my posts and think I found one that it is just right for this horrible weather. This is full of very strong beers and what I thought about them. With the appropriate Ten Beers over 10%.

Well I though I would not have any new beers at all this month, I was getting sick of all the very cloudy, very hoppy, very poor new beers that I have been getting by post over this lockdown.

But I did get some and they are pretty good.

They do sound interesting.

For this weekends BBQ (or sooner if mrskevenh leaves me unsupervised) I finally have a mini keg of my local craft ale brewer: Delphic Brewery
They are even nearer than West Berkshire Brewery - i.e. I can walk there. But that would limit my towing weight 🤔

Oh! I Digress, I have ~9pts of Delphic Brewery's Level Crossing to try.
I've had it draft from a local, so just the 1st home session. :drink:
