Your Beer of the week

This month have renewed my acquaintance with Dibbinsdale brewery on the wirral, 10litres of Trappers Hat in a box type keg has got me through this lockdown/working from home period, light brown not too hoppy and smooth, excellent, well recommended. Only one thing it needs to settle after delivery and I didnt wait

This week’s favourite, not as good as Leffe Braun but getting the job done.

And they have a nice campsite there by the river. Can recommend the Sunday lunch there.
Not stayed on the actual brewery site, but I have stayed on the rally field further down the village. (y)

It's not one I have had the pleasure of myself, but it has been recommended to me by many who have been to Portugal. :)

Cheers :drink:

Bosteel's limited edition Bost-Ale is in my PD at the moment. Very pleasant.

Kegs last me about 3 days at the moment during lockdown.

I want to try a draught pint of Jaipur before I commit to a keg, as its at the higher end of their price range.
I think PD will always be Euro-beer aligned... but it is good to see they do entertain some UK craft offerings.

Today, they launched their first stout... Black Magic Dark Arts.
Not for me, but have to applaud new styles & increasing range.
How does the bost compare with triple k
are you on facebook as a discount with perfect draft tips

I've just been down to support my local, by fetching back a takeaway gallon of Jaipur (my own container). 😉

That should see me right over the next couple of nights. 👍

Cheers :drink:

Jock. 🙂
How much did it cost you?
This is surely the way forward in these times, no bottles to be costed in,love it!
I , like many have a a wasted 140 ltr fresh water tank in my motorhome, that could be put to much better use during this lockdown :giggle:
Cheers hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Les. :)

As Jaipur is a premium quality ale, the takeaway price is £3.00 a pint. His Doombar is selling for £2.00 a pint.

Cheers :drink:

Good evening fellow ale lovers. 🙂

Fresh in from my local (takeaway only), and courtesy of the Abbeydale Brewery, is a pint of Black Mass. 👍

Knowing your taste for full bodied dark ales Steve, I'd say that this is right up your street. 👍

Steady with that one Jock..looks like it could do some damage mate. 🤪😆
That's why I'm only having a couple Steve, but TBH, as I would if it was a quality Belgian ale................although they tend not to be served as pints. 😉

BTW, I've never had an ale from Abbeydale, that I didn't like. 👍

Cheers :drink:

Jock. 🙂

I posted earlier that I could not differentiate the difference between Hobgoblin Gold IPA Bottled or canned.
Well after last nights attempt at doing the same task, I can now say that the canned one I had had a decidedly more citrus finish, so much so I wasn't enjoying it so much as usual:confused:
The citrus finish that was so overwhelming was exactly like Pink Grapefruit:eek:
Normal service soon returned however, when I opened a bottle, still citrusy but no so powerful as the can.
Need to get out and get some other new stock to sample, Jaipur, Abbots, & bottled London Pride are on the list.
Wish me luck.
Cheers to all.

I'll be putting this on ebay soon, unless anyone here is interested...? :giggle:

This is my selection tonight. Saw the Desperados and cider in Waitrose and as I'd not had either for donkeys years, I got them as a teaser. More may be bought;)

I've only drank Wild Beer Co beers at the pub, but you get 10% off their shop prices if you subscribe to their newsletter.
It's a one off use code you get.

Their beer I am familiar with is their <Broken link removed>. And that's a nice example of that style (y)

Cheers folks, the weekends nearly here.... :Eeek:

Cheers :drink:

Jock. 🙂
