Your Beer of the week

Well we are still here, the new beers are running low but I have ordered some more from the net.

On Wednesday afternoon we had a Zoom meet, it was supposed to be for a BBQ but was mainly to meet up and have a drink with friends.

I'll just have to manage with the Bank's bitter 'till then!

Are you getting the Banks bitter from Aldi? I think it was 89p a bottle and not a bad pint for a week night.

I kind of like Timothy Taylors LANDLORD, lovely on draft and not so bad in the bottle. Timothy Taylors do a nice bitter too, BOLTMAKER but I've never found it on draft.

Couple of great craft beer producers from my area in East Cheshire are Winkle Brewery from Macclesfield (Sir Phillip Bitter mmmmoreish) and Beartown Brewery in Congleton (kodiak Gold goes down a treat)

Geordie Bitter! My father used it for his home brew, and I've just finished waiting for my latest 5 gallon keg to mature - yum. I'd say it reminds me of my youth - but of course I was too young to drink then...

Tried some Peaky Blinders (Sadlers Brewery) dark IPA last week, more like a stout, but very nice.

Missing our visits to Lincolnshire for a Lincoln Gold or two. Always try the local brews, wherever we visit.(y)

Found a great little brewery in Northants. Three Hills.
I love my strong juicy IPA's and they do em as good as Cloudwater's

Cans of "Of juice" 9% over £6 so another thing that has a "wife" price and a real price :)

Got these on the go this weekend.

One of my favourites, fantastic ale and got one in for tonight! (y)
Remembered your recommendation whilst I was in Sainsburys.
I have had a bottle or two years back, but couldn't remember what it was like, so I bought 1 bottle as a sampler.
Well its was a lot darker and stronger in taste that I remember.
Problem was I drank it whilst cooking a Paella on the stove top, this was then followed by 2/2.5 glasses of Red Rioja Reserva.
Early bed that night, Hangover followed the next morning:eek: which was surprising for me.

I'd like to take part Ralph but the only bottled beers I can drink are naturally conditioned ones. Any artificially carbonated drink (soft or alcoholic) gives me stomach pains. I think there are more hens' teeth on Tees-side than naturally conditioned beers

there you go, excellent beer on your doorstep

Loads of micro brewers are doing take home containers from 3l to 20l bag in box, bottles, growlers, cans. Camfra have an app or just google to find your local breweries.

Pleasantly surprised tonight, I thought I would just Google Micro Breweries in Surrey and a load of them appeared. So thats a discovery job after lock down ends, I say that as some have tasting days to sample all of their beers on the spot, so TinaL will have to drive me home, shame she doesn't like real ales :beerchug:

Well with all that is going on with the Virus and not going out anywhere, I have been mainly drinking beers that I can get by ordering in online. Also if I am stuck in, I may as well have beers I like and not just be trying beers just for fun, I can get back to that later.

Still not going out at all, I see that the Caravan and Motorhome Club sites are reopening soon but I will not be going just yet.

I am still not getting through many new beers but I do have a few to mention here.

Well I haven't had many new beers at all during the second half of June, in fact I can only find two.

I bought this for Friday night as we had the family round for the first time since lockdown.

Funny how it only lasted a night!

I found these three that I had missed from June, not sure how I missed them, maybe it's something to do with beer.
