Any suggestions for a site for few days. Probably need dogs allowed (she’s 16). What’s it like for Moho parking in / near York? Can cope with any type of site from small with no ehu to the bigger.

I live in York, couple of CC cl's Haxby Road Farm, 2 miles north of York on a regular bus route, or Chowdene near Monks Cross P&R. The Hogs Head pub also on a good bus route, ring first. Hope this helps.

Used the park and ride yesterday , cant fault it. Gated into motorhome parking area. Did have to get out to ask someone to open it and again to get out again . Think it was just over £5 for 2 for the bus . Also who knew electric buses accelerated that quickly, would have left my 3 lt ducato for dead .

We've stayed here and would stay again https://cherrytreecottagecs.co.uk/. No showers or toilets but ehu very tidy site on a bus route and in walking distance of pubs and out of town shopping/ restaurants. Cycle route into York.

We used Chowdene camping and caravan site. Short walk to park and ride and large retail park. 5 van site and fitted RV easily. YO32 9TD.

York Marina down near Naburn is very nice. On a bus route or can walk to Designer Outlet P&R. Very nice bar/restaurant onsite.
Also on the other side of town is Wagtail Park (fishing lake available), close by P&R

Try the small campsite at Dunnington - got water, hook up and waste but no showers. It's also on a very good bus route into York and nice village. Holly tree caravan park. Used it several times visiting friends in village.

York Caravan Park. Adults only, dogs allowed. Gorgeous site, great facilities pitches fully serviced. Bus stop outside gate for bus to York, Scarborough and Whitby if you fancy a long ride. About 2.5 mile walk into York itself. Not cheap but cheaper than both York CAMC sites.

Short walk to park and ride ,also short walk to retail park

We e stayed twice. Well kept site and you can get a discount taxi service from the owners. Both ways to York and back. It’s also a nice walk to town along the river.

We stayed at the C & M site in York it's a total rip off the money they charge. Myself and 1 other have sent in a complaint about the way we was treated and the price we had to pay, we will never use this site again.

we stayed at the Derwent Arms. There is a pathway that takes you right into York. You can walk or cycle, all off the road.
