Agree with the DR 650 but wish we still had the above!

I had a 1969 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top in 1972 which I sold for £200 in 1975 when I started playing bass and used the money for a Fender Jazz Bass.
Wish I still had the Les Paul - here’s one just like it that sold a little while ago

I wish I still had the development model Rover Metro Cabriolet I sold to buy a Jaguar XK8! It was great, electric hood it wuld raise and lower while stopped at traffic lights, 1400 cc engine, and only one of eight made. I tried to find covered storage for it but couldn't.

This is the bike I miss, my Serow, Mountain Goat, 225cc.
Climbed many Derbyshire trails on this, always made the deal with it-you get me to the top and I will hang on!

Also won my class in two annual Long Distance Trials on it!

miss my Mark2 ford escort estate, had a mexico engine and big bore exhaust fitted by friends, had it 13 years, would still have it now if a taxi hadn't taken it out when their brakes failed, son still suffers with his knee and back, but both he and girlfriend walked away, car was almost halved in 2, passenger seat was about 6 inches wide.

I built my Westfield over the winter of 1992/3 and stupidly sold it after 3 years.:crying:

Oh well, I probably wouldn't be able to climb into it now, especially with it's roof on.

If i ask Mrs Ridgeway she will say it was my (her) Defender 90 (2001). She drove it through a wall once, the wall was lets say “broken” and the Landry looked the same as before😳. We also used to deliver sheep back to the neighbours in it, the ones that strayed into our place, they always crapped in the back so the Karcher came out, easiest car to clean we ever had.

Did some great camping trips in it with all the gear on the roof. Had to sell as we moved abroad and it was RHD, but in hind sight that shouldn’t have been a big issue and we should have kept it. Paid £12,500 for it as it was 18 months old.

Better not start on bikes😂, although my 1982 Mongoose was a stunning and unbreakable machine if a little heavy, only broke 2 ribs and an ankle when racing it at Barton BMX track in the early 80’s. It would of had more sentimental value than all my carbon bikes put together, light and fast but pretty soulless☹️

The only car I regret selling was a 1964 Chevy Impala. I regretted selling it as the man counted out the £400 but had agreed to sell it to him. Worth a lora lora lolly now.
The only motorhome I regret selling was the 760 RMB and matching trailer, but it did go to a lovely couple who I knew would take care of it.

Have you done any track days?
Did the Porsche owners club one at Goodwood a few miles from my house.
I felt so sorry for my car afterwards ☹️☹️
It was screaming around all day😂😂
Was great when we started as track was damp and you could do 4 wheel drifts around the bends😳😳😳

Goodwood is a bit of a tight track, around 150-160mph along the back straight but it does have some good corners that you can 4 wheel drift around😁😁
Was surprised how planted my car was around corners as it’s obviously rear engine so not ideally balanced.
Helps as it was a 4 wheel drive though but I must have scrubbed at least 60% off the tyres in a day😬😬

Sorry if I missed it . What were you driving?

My all time favourite trail bike. CRM250 MK3, [ Lilac Lil ]. All loaded with camping gear for a weekend orienteering weekend around Salisbury Plains. The most outrageously easy bike to ride, so easy to ride I used in Trials events.View attachment 691184View attachment 691185
Not healing as fast as I was breaking bit's forced a reluctant sale.
I had an AR - also in purple - great bike.
