Where to go from Rotterdam ?

Bet you can eat the whole packet!

Still no sun but steadily getting brighter and very warm
Despite this my solars are giving 9 amps and inverter batteries at 12.8 volts after 5 days
There are vans around me with small sat dishes getting a picture , is that because they're not watching uk programs? Would altering my skew help ?

Having just got our motorhome, I looked into what we could expect to receive on its dish. The issues with BBC, etc when you go south are well discussed but the situation as you travel east is as bad. The 'UK' beam on Astra 2 barely reaches the Holland/Germany border, so receiving it on the Baltic coast is very unlikely and altering skew won't really help. See http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/footprints/Astra-2G-UK.html. The 'Europe Ku' beams on Astra 2 cover more of Germany and even Poland, but there is a limited choice of FTA programming on those transponders. CNN and Sky News should be OK. Others will probably be watching Astra 1, Astra 3 or Hotbird channels, I expect.

Hope it starts "crackin the flags" for you both;)

It's very unseasonal everywhere Dawn we'll just have to tough it out

Going to get a ferry to Rostock in the morning for the day instead of the train.
Had to drive along the coast 10 minutes to the other parking area where there is a toilet dump, found it has nothing else though.
So I bucketed my grey waste on the grass and refilled with water for 50cents back here

This hymer arrived
He has E&P's and a Dometic legless awning but what stands out is the wheels. They look like 17 or 18"? I like them. Will have to sneak a photo of the tyre size covertly
Cab looks like Renault from here

Love Warnamunde :-) We stopped there on a cruise ship in 2013 and it was on of our favorite ports.

They're 275/45 r20 usually sold for 4x4 not really suitable for a heavy van

The Costa Favoloso just left port to a fanfair of fog horns from her and all the other ships here
Quite emotional. One of the Ada line ships is well advertised as coming in tomorrow but we're leaving early. The stelplatz is ram packed for the weekend

On the 1 road out of Holland into Germany there was a sign saying TOLL but we never encountered anywhere for paying just saw overhead monitors as we started and ended the stretch I believe
Anyone know the score with these?

You'd usually pay on line but thought Holland was toll free bar a couple of tunnels?

Sorry Andy, not able to help, but we did notice a toll set up being built on the Belgian Motorways, and with German tolls imminent, maybe the Dutch are jumping on the same "band wagon". :(

Great photos BTW. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

When stopped there on a cruise we stayed till midnight. When the ship pulled away music was broadcast from the dock very loudly. Then along the coast line people held up mobil phones lit up waving. It was a lovely send off but must be very annoying if you lived there and went to bed early.
