No Brits seen anywhere yet. We are touring the western edge of Spain. Not even on the P & O ferry were there any. School kids on a bus and that’s the lot.

Must be Eric and Isobelle promoting the site to UK or maybe just long term popularity. We've been staying there for at least 10 years after Antioche was sold to a campsite chain company. We were there, and yes, there were a lot of Brits. Far more than anywhere else we visited.
Agree, but a lot of these German vans are getting a ferry from Germany or Holland ( can't remember which, directly to Norway. So they are shelling out on an overnight ferry journey.German school holidays are staggered over a few months so could be part of reason for lots of Germans on road. Like you say may pick up next week. It's also more expensive to travel from UK to Europe, Germans don't have to shell out for that rather expensive channel crossing. If you decided to go 'last minute' this weekend through the tunnel you'd be adding another £500-£600. Even booking in advance like we did it was still over £300.
Lost.Quiet here still, where we are in this part of Spain it is shorter to drive here from the UK than where we live in Murcia...Where are we?
La Grainetière? Loads of Brits there at end of June, almost as many Irish with their semi-feral kids.We stayed on a campsite at La Flotte on the Ile de Re in late June. Booked for 10 nights, moved on after 9, too many Brits on the campsite! Mind you that site has always been popular with the Brits. Stayed on two other sites on the island and only saw one Brit. No Brit mhs seen on the sites we stayed at in Brittany.
That was far too quick!Turkey
enjoy it. Nice countryQuiet here still, where we are in this part of Spain it is shorter to drive here from the UK than where we live in Murcia...Where are we? Galicia of course....1065km where Santander is only 346km...
Correct and they all had bikes, tearing around the site. Sadly we've decided not to return, the road noise is one of the other factors.La Grainetière? Loads of Brits there at end of June, almost as many Irish with their semi-feral kids.
Loads of British at Chateau de Drancourt last week. The Eurocamp equation....I think that may well be a factor. We did similar for about 8 years maybe longer when the children were young and as you say there were loads of Brits. I know the season did last from Easter until the beginning of September but the bulk of their trade was June/July/August. The children of friends did a bit of holiday rep work during Uni holidays for Eurocamp, glad I heard the stories after we stopped going!
In the 90's my ex-wife taught English and Business English at the University in Murcia. She had a flat along the road from the Rincon de Pepe.Quiet here still, where we are in this part of Spain it is shorter to drive here from the UK than where we live in Murcia...Where are we? Not planning a return to Iberia anytime soon then....we still live here along with a few other residents...although we did experience a number reduction a couple of years ago...these will in time be replaced by others eager to be able to "Live their dream" when their retirement comes around. Its my idea of bliss if im in a country and never see another brit

Turning this on its head a tad (if I may), been out and about here in the UK for a while and the absence of foreign vans here this year is quite noticeable in turn. The odd one or two but hardly any??Been in France for last couple of months, still here for another 3 weeks hardly seen any UK cars or MH, on the other hand we are now back in the Dordogne and the amount of Dutch and Belgiums is incredible
Really? Ive seen loads so maybe they are up here in scotland. Lots of French and a few germans. Also all the park4night spots around here its all french, Belgian and dutch reviews being leftTurning this on its head a tad (if I may), been out and about here in the UK for a while and the absence of foreign vans here this year is quite noticeable in turn.
