Where are all the Brits?

What's a Tugger surely it ain't what i think it is and if it is what I'm thinking it is how did you know

Left Calais on Wednesday.Have now travelled through France into Spain.

I don't think I've ever known it to be any different. Leave the port get over-taken by a few Brits who were on the same boat as you. Then see none or very, very few. (unless you go to popular Brit destinations) The next time we see them is in the queue for the boat home.

Its a big continent.

In all my time travelling, once out of the Northern part of Frnace I rarely see another brit registered anything. Same in Northern spain except on days when the boat unloads & you get a few go past on the A23 for an hour or so, but usually only cars.
having firstly lost the red diesel concession
Central heating oil.

We have been in France for 80 days, from Limoges over to Mt Blanc down across the med to Collure and back up to just south of Limoges. Seen no more than ten vans at the most. On a different note seems to be a lot more French A Class vans around.

They are not up here in Scotland either.
We've been up here a week and hardly seen a one.

Love it:drinks:

We came up through France on Thursday and would say 1 in 6 motorhomes coming towards us was English, I know lots that head for a particular site and stay there until it's time to go home 😉 plus it's probably too hot for many now. 😜
We are all alone on a campsite in Essex, for the last 3 years sites seem to be quiet yet there's far more motorhomes and caravans around. 😁 Bob.

Haven't seen more than 3 or 4 anywhere so far. Now on Parc Verger, not been for a while, many changes, 1 Brit caravan and us.

If i go to a foreign country i don't want to see or hear Brits:cool:
You have so far got over thirty ”likes” for this post, l agree, but it’s a sad state of affairs whereby as a Nation we pretty much can’t stand the company of our own people ( l even had to put “own people” so as not to upset some sensitive Woke and the rest.
When l walk down the street as it were l cannot believe the appearance and behaviour of what l see.

Down in the Peloponnese for 3 weeks so far only seen 5 British vans it seems to be predominantly Germans Ho Hum

Croatia seems to be 99% German., Slovenia seemed the same.
A few Austrian and Dutch.
Seems to be a massive German van invasion at the moment

Spoken to an odd UK person but not seen any around
No French.

Generally we agree. We tend to avoid other brits and on rallys, just other people :D
But what that means really, is we're the quiet ones and get on well with people who think the same! So for us, UK people saying "we avoid UK people" are generally the company we get on with.
OK, we're odd.

Was it nice there? We are over next week and looking for a couple of inland destinations. Had plenty of recommendations for the coast.

We are on our 8th stop in Croatia over a 6 week period and we’ve see maybe 7-8 UK MH’s. I’d say 85% of MH’s on the sites have been German, the remainder made up of Dutch, Austrian, a few Italian and some Slovenian.

Been in Romania 12 days so far.We are the only Brits, not seen any other motorhomes but a few Brit registered cars but I suspect they could be Romanians. Mind you,the Romanian drivers are suicidal maniacs so can't blame anyone to stay away. The painted Monasteries are fantastic so,perhaps you should visit. Incidentally, the roads are still rubbish and some of the pot holes are enormous!! Off to Bulgaria next.

yes it was lovely. Swimming pool will be available from this coming weekend and it is a modern amenity block - even providing toilet paper!😁
Walk into the village for baguettes and a good butchers etc and a couple of places to dine out.
Beware Michel the site manager - lovely bloke but he can’t half talk when not busy!!😁

We came into Spain on the ferry to Santander two weeks ago. Now in Campsite El Puerto de Santa Maria, opposite Cadiz. Quite a few UK vans here, but the town and beaches are very quiet. Eerily so given its now June 1st. Plenty of Dutch, Germans and French are here though. Chatting to people it seems that tourism has taken a big hit from Covid and high energy prices. Hope it picks up.

Just got back from Czech, Austria and Germany and Belgium on the bike.

Hardly saw any British in all those countries.

Was a UK coach party in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.... And a few in Neuschwanstein.

Otherwise .......

A lot of the budget manufacturers are now producing A Class vans, so they are growing in popularity
