When we have are freedom back what’s the first thing your doing?.

Looking for inspiration for lovely things to do and places to go when we’re all able to have life as normal.

Motorhome/non motorhome things. Nice places to go, food to eat, activities to try that sort of thing.

All politics/covid free as it won’t exist then 😁
Ferry to Bilbao, avoiding the froggies. ::bigsmile:

Not seen our children and grandchildren in Australia since autumn 2019. Flights were booked for Nov '20 then cancelled and rebooked for 28th April this year. Probably have to re book again:cry:
Have actually used the van quite a lot during lockdown due to hospital inpatient and follow up appointments for the wife.
Works well as we live near Grantham and the hospital is in Kensington. Either park outside overnight or at Richmond by the river.
Without the van, with Hotels closed and told not to use public transport due to shielding we would have been up and down the A1 like a yo-yo.

Visiting and hugging all our family and grandkids , not seen some of them since Dec 2019. Then a trip in Dora, don’t care where!!!

Have loved the funny remarks. Too many people want to hug grandchildren don’t forget they maybe the big spreaders I think I will just get up and get dressed look for a bra!.......find the front door.......

Biggest germ carriers out there ....

Back to The Mosel in Germany. Then on to the Harz Mountains

That is after a massive family BBQ
Make sure you do the narrow gauge stem train to the top in the Hartz, absolutely brilliant but bee prepared for the cold at the top!

Desperately hoping that our delayed Florida trip will happen in March but it's highly unlikely... Our first trip since I retired so we were going for three or four weeks this time... Hopefully we can delay it AGAIN
Have you been to the Police museum and next door the Gun practice place where you can hire all manner of guns great fun especially watching the Americans practicing ,and the Overseer bloke with a 45 tucked in his belt !!

True, but I reckon by the time I’m allowed out we will be vaccinated & they will all have had it, so, 1 - big hugs with the grandkids, 2 - big family barbecue, 3 - Head for Italy for our golden wedding anniversary trip we were supposed to enjoy last May!

So 2023 then IF there hasn't been a covid20 , covid21 , covid22 variant by then lol

Just the uk vaccination programme is going to take 2 years to vaccinate everyone

Sounds like you’ve been a naughty boy in the past if you’re banned from all those places 😳
Have seen absolutely no evidence that France does not want us. Have recently come back from there and was met with kindness and helpfulness as always.

I haven’t.. where is it?
It's called American Police Hall of Fame , have a look on their website it's adjacent to the Astronaut Hall of Fame , and I think from memory there is the Gun practice place there.
Address 6350 Horizon Drive , Titusville it's actually south of Titusville , and you can also get to Cape Canaveral all worth a visit. Cape Canaveral you need best part of a day
The thing about the Astronaut hall of Fame is stuck up a corner is a small spot for the Russians !!
Also around that area you can go on one of those fan driven machines that will skim you over a swamp, typing this makes me want to go again, we went over to Florida several times as my son was Helicopter training , as you probably know around that area the whole area is one waste swamp, it looked like that from a Helicopter . I hope this helps have a good time.

We love Daytona so if we do get there we’ll spend a few days there.. I was pretty unimpressed with Cape Canaveral but I can say I’ve been there... Done the swamp boats too.. the main thing on my list that I’ve always fancied is a trip to Crystal River to swim with the Manatees if it’s still allowed

Yes we went to Daytona and my son's mate paid about 140 dollars to be driven around track,. He reckoned it was worth the money

We did the Daytona circuit tour and maybe next time I'll take a ride.. It's been massively expanded since the last tour we did (works were going on when we were last in Daytona and the scale was immense.. We drive to an Olive Garden to eat near there) There were some Porsches lapping when we were there so I got a sense of the speed of the track

I don't know whether it still goes on, but on Saturday nights in downtown Kissimee, they have a Classic car parade and all sorts of places open , Line dancing , a huge high up swing , and a accelerated car ride , but this was all several years ago

We will be heading off up to Shetland to see the Otters, maybe visit Orkney and the Outer Hebrides before or after Shetland make it around 3 month trip, but I am conscious of the fact that every recently purchased Camper and Motorhome will be convoying around the NC500 and I don’t want any part of that thank you.
We’re thinking of a similar trip, I’m Scottish & never visited before so I think it’s about the right time. Might be a struggle dodging the NC500 visitors 🤨

Much more simple plan for me.
:)

On my own, I will go to a coffee shop and sit hugging the mug in my hands looking out the window and people watching. Yes, people actually walking outside, free and breathing air, and playing with grandchildren, couples walking with arms round each other, friends hugging as they meet.........

Yep. I'm a dreamer. :)

Your OK you just need to get on the ferry in the afternoon to Shetland 👏👏 go straight up to Shetland and stop off on Orkney on the way back, then Ferry from Orkney to Scrabster back on the mainland you pick your route.

We got a holiday booked for 2023 so might just get to do it 👍
