Is this a ligit MOT and DVLA are sooo far behind?

My friend is looking for a really cheap motorhome, I came across one that has had damp in a few places. The extent of it we would soon see with damp meter but putting that aside at the moment. Been chatting to the seller via pm whose apparently selling on behalf of " A charity" .

Long story short he said its MOT'd til Dec, I replied yes last year... No this year he said and sent an MOT copy. Doesn't match up with DVLA account which says MOT ran out Dec 2020.

I'ts fake no doubt, Worst thing about this is we have 2 damp meters and none here right now in Glasgow so cant determine the extent of damp.

I'm under no doubt its phoney. What I'm unclear about is who is being been deceptive. the viewing is in Dalmarnock, an rundown area but you get good and bad folk everywhere so may mean nothing.

Sandra, P 1 keys live in that area. We went to look at a van with a friend and the paperwork wasn’t available.
Plus it was full of holes.

I have just double checked the test number on the cert you have posted on here is the same as the test number on the 3rd June 2019 cert

He has just emailed me and said it's a fake mot he didnt realise it when he bought it in December and he has contact the old bill so he may be the other honest jock after you irnbru

You don't need a meter! In one photo there's a washing up bowl on the floor catching the water!!

It has pages of MOT Fail faults and Advisories.

I meant only on this particular issued certificate, nothing is shown.
Perhaps that could be because this is a retest and the advisories etc have been fixed, and were only shown on the actual test sheet, which would suspect a fail, if it needed a retest.
Either way, it don’t look too impressive, on paper, anyway.

View it if you really must (I'm intrigued) but don't go alone, don't buy it and definitely don't get into a discussion over the validity of the MOT as it won't get you anywhere and could be very unpleasant.

Regardless of the validity of the certificate, does the seller have authority to sell on behalf of a charity?

I would ignore and walk away.

You know as much about true weegies as he does motorhomes. Being brought up in one of Glasgows toughest areas made me streetwise if nothing else. I wont go alone but if circumstanses changed I would.
