I like the Elddis CV20, but not enough to buy one though.
Every time I go away in mine I realise how great it is and soon go off the idea of buying another. It was our first motorhome too, we chose wisely 😎😇

More than toes wet now!
We have a real lust for an Adria Panel Van 'cause we know one will be coming up very soon in the Classifieds with a massive discount for Lifers when our valiant leader :notworthy2: buys a Hymer 4 x 4!:whistle2::giggler:

We want a Safari Trek.
Very short for an RV at 24feet but bed is "majic bed" that descends from central ceiling area. Most have levelling jacks and all the usual RV toys.
Only problems are they stopped making them around 2005? And I am recovering from emergency abdominal surgery and not even allowed to lift a kettle ::bigsmile:

Getting Better
Consort Oslo, we are driving ourselves mad at the moment as it might be within our grasp!

Our logic is impeccable. We have a 4 year old IH630RD , 3 way fridge. Comformatic. 140W gel battery and 120Ah solar. Underslung log tank. We have booked a 6 week tour of Iceland next year. No LPG available. We’re not always having hookup. Could be cold. Tour leader said we’ll “probably” be OK.

A new van with a compressor fridge, diesel heating plus lithium makes perfect sense to us!!!

See you at the Newbury show.

If your happy with the present van then replacing the fridge for a compressor one and adding the power to it will be a hell of a lot cheaper….😆😃

Coachman A Class but it’s too big to fit where I live ( it wouldn’t fit through the stone pillared gates ) . My only option would be to find storage with hook up and ready the van remotely for hols . Too much faff me thinks but I really want one !

We have a new 7m MH, but if I was single (not a wish by the way) I would have a de-mountable camper on a pick-up truck.....the best of both worlds.

Saw one of those at uttoxeter a few years ago and it had hydraulic levelling rams as well....I just thought it would be cool to go into a hymer dealer and tick options like a man possessed 😎

If anyone is lusting after an Adria Compact with an island bed we may be faced with a choice of selling ours or installing it as an expensive garden ornament.

dont own one yet.
I m giving consideration to Lenny HB motor. Select motorhomes
I keep thinking about it, but sensible head on it is unlikely as will want a year or so of retirement to work out how much money I want to spend and how much to keep
Based on personal experience I would say , go for it, unfortunately life has a habit to not follow your chosen path, so don’t delay nice things in life 👍

Going for it would put back retirement a year. I will be going for the retirement. We have a nice van, its always nicer to have a nicer van, but the opportunity cost of a year working 12 hour shifts of days and nights is not appealing to me anymore.

Its delay the retirement or delay the upgrade of a van 71 plated van which is set up how we want

I keep seeing the Merc 4x4 Hymer ML-T's out and about and liking them more and more. Just a bit wider than my panel van and so much possibility. A flat floor throughout, so good for the dog, lots of useable storage and the 4 wheel drive is a big bonus. It looks great too.

So that's my current van lust, I don't want to know why you don't like my choice, but I'd love to know what your current van lust is and why (y)
We put a full Victron system into one last week for an Aussie couple that are living in it. It's the first time I've seen them up close like that and I would LOVE one of these vans! They are nice!

I’d just like a van with an automatic box that I don’t have to worry about it breaking and costing me anything up to £10k to fix..😒
The 9 speed is even dearer than the Comformatic to replace a friend of mine has one replaced last year on a 2½ year old Malibu PVC. Total cost was £15k Fiat coughed up £13k for the parts.
