What is this warning light? I didn't know what it was. Thanks to all those kind people that answered; now I do, and I'm very grateful. - Sorted

Did you have the ignition key in, on position 2, with the headlight switch on, which allows for sidelights only while parked up. Certainly on a 2015 van, you cannot just use the sidelights while driving, and have to have the key in, and turn on the headlights, without the engine running. It may be a second indication of the sidelights being on, as well as the illuminated green sidelight indicator.
Tried lights on and off key in the ignition and turned on no idea what number it went to but showed we were in Neutral i think. your right about the side lights switch light switch has two positions only off or on. bu**er when you go somewhere where it is illegal to run on sidelights. This is third time of being in van and fisrst tme this has been illuminated, am sure it's because i was fiddling with the stalk on the way home before lockdown.
Sue you are driving some funsters crazy  ... get your bum in gear and check it out before they sue you for causing them stress!
will give you a wave in passing it's only a couple of minutes, if that, of a detour. :ROFLMAO:

We have an orange warning light which has come on Fiat Ducato 2.3 automatic 2014 model, it is the one below trip and above MPG, Can't see any lights out,
not shown, that I can find in the fiat manuals or on line. Anyone here know what it is. Thanks in advance

You will find it is caused by a faulty ABS fault

Hi
I'd say it's the speed limiter, activated as you possibly fiddled with the cruise control lever

Hi,

I see that the van is a 2014 model, but is it an x250 or an x290.

I have an electronic copy of both of the owners manuals from fiat, if there’s somewhere I can upload it?

You may find what your looking for in there.

(y) scotzsue Please download this and take up the kind offer and update us.

I’ve just found the forum has a resources section........

While I was looking for somewhere to upload the manuals. I found the forums library, I thought there would be somewhere as most other forums I’ve used has somewhere to post files.

You‘ll find that it contains a large selection of manuals and documents etc. Including the owners manuals for both the x250 & x290 models.

To access it, It lives to the right of the subscriptions heading

It's sorted
John said 'let me do it you have messed it up or words to that effect' left him to he sat there for ages, eventually said he had been throught the menu loads of times and it is still the same.
It was the end of the stalk I was playing with says I no way i would touch the menu when moving.
A couple of presses and back to showing the date and time as we like it, he put it to the correct time too.
Found a few interesting things on the menu that the old van didn't have.
Thans everyone. you are all ???

Jim how do I change the title to add sorted!

So ... what WAS it showing!!!! ?

Aye weel lass yir ain faut fir emigratin! ;) :giggle:
No you've got it wrong I am a missionary

So ... what WAS it showing!!!! ?
it was part of the cycle, mpg, miles before filling tank, cycle accessed from the washer stalk. There was no top speed setting so wasn't that, main thing is we no longer have it on display, got date and time now so we will at least get something right. would never have known about it if i hadn't been bored lol. good news is it was an information sign not a warning and all lights are working as was cruise control when we were out.

But what WAS it indicating??!! ?

But what WAS it indicating??!! ?

Average mpg on one of the trip counters by the looks of it. But the mpg hadn't been calculated because the trip counter had been reset and no distance driven.

No flaming idea, when you scroll through everything else gives a description except the symbol on the right of the fuel pump thingy. Everything seems to be working ok too. will need to have another look at the pdf i have downloaded .
We drove for a bout 50 miles round trip and it didn't change.
I am with
@XxAnthxX on this one ;)

Noooohhhh - the world needs to know now ?

I an also now convinced it is related to the average MPG reported, and it seems to reset when the van is parked up for some considerable time, like a lot of vans will have been, or when power is removed from the vehicle battery, losing the memory. I had the same symbol on mine, after turning the ignition on after a long 'stay of execution'. With the symbol showing, the average MPG also shows dashes ____ so it has reset, and awaits a further trip to recalculate. I don't think the average MPG has any relation to the trip counter, as this symbol displays while there is still data on the two trip counters.
Interestingly, the symbol does not show in any Fiat manuals to explain what it is for.

I also think the symbol is replicating a fuel tank gauge.....

"your right about the side lights switch light switch has two positions only off or on. bu**er when you go somewhere where it is illegal to run on sidelights..."

But that's the point, you can't run on sidelights only. With the ignition on, it is all or nothing, you can only have just sidelights on without the ignition on.
