What is this warning light? I didn't know what it was. Thanks to all those kind people that answered; now I do, and I'm very grateful. - Sorted

It looks like a speed limiter light that’s orange when switched but turns green when cruise control is operated so it has a double function,

We have an orange warning light which has come on Fiat Ducato 2.3 automatic 2014 model, it is the one below trip and above MPG, Can't see any lights out,
not shown, that I can find in the fiat manuals or on line. Anyone here know what it is. Thanks in advance

I think most folk here must have had a bevy or three before they replied! I’m assuming you’re Talking about the ‘Alien’ looking thingy next to the fuel light?
i haven’t got a clue! ???

if it’s a single static orange light though, shouldn’t be a problem. Just VERY annoying when it’s not in the handbook.....?

The fuel pump, stop watch icons and being in the trip menu suggest you’ve got into some sort of “range until refill” type display.
But you need someone with the same base vehicle (or similar) to confirm.

Looks like a fun smiley

Service light can still appear following service if not reset.

We don’t have the manual for this vehicle was being sourced by the dealer when lockdown hit. Do have one for the previous model and also downloaded one from fiat web site. We have used van since service didn’t have that display. Favourite is definitely me playing with settings while I was bored driving home no radio and John asleep on last trip. Will go for a look today. Doubt it is the cruise control but will check that. Wasn’t there first trip and used cruise then thanks for your help.
might be nice if it was an alien would break the boredom of staying in ?

That Orange light tells you that you have set the speed limiter in the On position
Interesting don't know how we managed that, don't even know how to do it, know the icon wasn't on before. will look online at setting and removing it and visit van later. shall email dealer and see if there was any progress on getting the manual before we all got stopped in our tracks.
Can only assume it was set by the previous owner and somehow have now got it showing on the dash. Certainly didn't show first couple of times we used it though.

Could be a choice of trip information.
Trip A and Trip B
Been reading up and some have a button on the end of wiper stork to toggle between different trips.

It's not a warning light at all. It is just part of the information display that you have accidentally enabled. Probably something to do with the trip meters or mpg read out.

You have to get up to speed, about 55mph will do it and then you’ll be sent back to the future...?

On the end of the stalk that controls your cruise control the should be a button. With the ignition on, don't think you need the engine running, press the button in and the light should go out.

Could be a exterior light failure no 23
Definitely not that...... a bulb failure warning light looks something like this, pretty much regardless of model.

no that was the first thing we checked.
Am 99.99% certain it is due to my fiddling with the stalk when bored last time I was driving.

Dear O dear, fiddling with a stalk, let alone while driving is to much information. :Eeek:

I think it’s informing you that the warp drive is disengaged.

John.
... are you trying to say she's in cahoots with Trump and his 'warp speed' Covid response?

man on toilet warning light.jpg
It's the man on the loo warning light coming on whilst you're driving that's the real worrier!

If your button is on the end of the stalk please go out and try holding it down for about 3 seconds so this thread comes to an end !!!! :giggle:

Would love to but it is in storage, was going to look today but waited in all day for a delivery.

It looks like a stopwatch so I suspect it's to keep a 'timing' record of a trip along with the fuel consumption etc.

Hello again Sue. I am still wondering about the service light. We had our previous van serviced before going to Spain and near Cadiz this light came on. I did have a manual and although reading wobbly pages as my hand was shaking, on the third time of looking it showed a similar icon to yours. Apparently the mechanic had not reset the system to cancel the light after the service. So it could still just about be that.

You can download the Fiat Professional app onto a smartphone or ipad, and then use the camera to scan the dash, and it should tell you what each light/symbol means. Certainly works for an iphone, but may depend on age of vehicle, as I don't know at point year the manuals online are available from.

Did you have the ignition key in, on position 2, with the headlight switch on, which allows for sidelights only while parked up. Certainly on a 2015 van, you cannot just use the sidelights while driving, and have to have the key in, and turn on the headlights, without the engine running. It may be a second indication of the sidelights being on, as well as the illuminated green sidelight indicator.
