What is the daftest place you have seen something fitted to a Motorhome?

I beg to differ I like having rhd on the continent...means in narrow roads and going through villages I'm on the side my mirrors and awning are closest too
Fully agree,,Back in the 60/70s Italians bought rid British trucks for that exact reason.BUSBY.

Got to be the water heater switches, both the gas and electric switches are nearly at floor level, foward end of the table , ............but underneath it. Duh.......chausson keeping their wire costs down. Just on the inside face of the under seat locker where the boiler is.

(have heard that some chsusson owners have repositioned them on the otherside of the van, up by the main control panel, but not seen this)
Your lucky my water heater controls are in a floor level cupboard,, right at the back..Good exercise keep bending down.BUSBY.

Everything is perfect in a Carthago
Maybe ... where's your waste water emptying lever? Is it like ours under the floor in the central locker so you can only do it from within the MH?

Ours is under the floor in the central locker but it is easy enough to reach in from outside through the hab door. The battery isolator and hot water drain down taps are also in the locker and I think they are very handily positioned. The cold water tank drain down valve is the only one I have to do from inside.

It's not ideal though if you have dogs who could 'escape', we're probably gonna fit a tap to the end of the waste pipe externally so we can leave the internal one open all the time and just open/close the outside one as necessary ... or I might just become a constant 'dribbler'! ?

Ours is there but I don’t mind tbh, maybe like you I’ll fit an external tap, looks like an easy job.

I can see that dogs might complicate the matter. I like being able to get to the taps from inside and out but I can see it might not suit everyone. I imagine the idea of having the valve at the bottom of the tank is part of the frost precautions, the only freeze up I have ever suffered was a frozen waste outlet. Adding an external tap sounds like a good solution in your circumstances.

I have refused a part exchange before that had a custom log burner in it complete with Flu out the roof!

My son lived in one like that when he was a student, scrapped it when he got his degree, boy was it toasty.

I fitted ours with a motorised tap operated with a remote. It can be opened/closed from anywhere - inside, outside, even in the house when it's on the drive. ?

Picked up a new Bailey Alliance 70-6 in April. When shown around the living area I asked where the TV point was. The salesman had a quick look round and said he didn't know. He asked someone else who picked up a cushion from the sofa and lo and behold it was there. What a total c*ck up, someone was on happy baccy obviously when they thought of this site!!. Wrote to Bailey about it and they said they'd forward my complaint onto the designers. We've now got a satellite dish now so do not use that point so no wires hanging down anymore, everything sited in the cupboard behind the TV.

2004 Carioca.
Dinette seating only. No lounge area, no swivel seats.
TV cabinet with aerial/power sockets, roller shutter door, and slide out shelf directly over dinette.
Mine was the same, turned the dinette into L shape & put 2 captains chairs in, same amount of seats, mega lot more space & a much better layout, (although it did make it 4 travel seats instead of 6).

Same as mine what a pain in the rectum can’t see it when I have clothes in the wardrobe
Same as ours and many others. Afraid converters etc have a lot to answer for.
