What do you keep in your microwave?

My toaster, in its box, just fits perfectly. Don’t think I’ve ever been able to get enough amps to use the wave.

We use it as a bread eggs and veg store. Or pack of individual tonic water fits very well too.
Any other ideas?
We keep eggs🥚 and a tea towel in our microwave to stop them moving around👍

My useless Tec Tower oven is in the loft. Replaced by a very useful convection / microwave. Holds cutting boards & clean tea towels when not in use.

As we rarely use EHU (probably twice a year) I removed the glass turntable - one less rattle - and I use the space as a library.
You can get 25 Mills & Boon in there plus a Jeffrey Archer! 📚

Took purs out as we never used it, put an air fryer in it’s _lace and the wife uses it quite a bit.

We prepare meals at home, vacuum pack them and store them in the on-board freezer. The microwave is ideal for warming them through on the days we don’t dine out. We’re almost never on EHU but have loads of LiFePO4 and a big inverter, it suits us.

Love having a microwave in the van, makes it more of a home, but got around to thinking about the weight saving, so took it out, stripped it down and fitted the microwave contraption to my double mattres.

I now get 6 hours sleep in 3 minutes 🤭

Bread, chippies, biscuits.
A pain in the bum whenever I want to use the microwave tho. Bench is usually chokka with stuff so it ends up... anywhere it falls

This thread has pissed me off, my microwave at home found it and decided to die. I fitted a new magnetron about 10 years ago so looks like I'll have to shell out a couple of hundred quid for something I hardly use. I do the cooking but 'er indoors won't let me buy a cheap one.
Ours gave up last week,"house".Took all the spare change to the coinmaster, bought one at "Range" for 50 squid and that had 30 off.

Cheers🍻

The one at home gets used for warming milk for coffee, would never have one in a van, can't see the point.
You pre-warm your milk for coffee, you are posh, or have to much time on your hands 🤣 Enjoy your coffee Lenny, every man to his own I say 🤷‍♂️ We do have an instant hot water tap at home though, shame can't install one in the moho 🤔

Ours was used as a bread and egg bin, but because we very rarely used hookup I removed our microwave and turned it into a cupboard and fitted a door.
Don't miss the microwave and love the extra space. (y)
We did the opposite and fitted a microwave where there had been a cupboard!

Big plastic sivving thing she uses to drain rice off I think, no where else to stick them out the way, no extra weight though ! Not integrated either, fit's on the floor under the table which is a pain to lift in and out. Why she need's one with an air fryer I'll never know, but hey ho I don't do the cooking. Thinking of hiding it in my shed see if she notices it's gone 🤣

My mates got one of then it went wrong cost him over £300 to get fixed he said if it goes wrong again it's going in the bin.
Kettles have a big advantage - they are a thousand pounds cheaper.

And looking at the adverts, it states a 60lt filter, so I’d be changing it every couple of days. Maybe it’s how they make their money selling the filters 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Then we are so lucky Lenny, as my daughter work's for a renowned kitchen supplier, on our 2nd now, but 1st one lasted 10 year's. This one cost me 2 gallon oil and a filter approx £40 as a swap for a £300 replacement. Even sent a fitter pal out cost me 50 quid swap it, then re-fitted a cupboard door I'd knocked off, so was well worth it 👌 Never be without one now, only kettles we own are in the van . . .

He paid over 1k for it about 3 years ago he is not very mecanicle so he got out that was 80 quid but he did get the parts trade otherwise it would have been another 100 quid.
