I fixed it so that I didn’t get sunburn today in the wall to wall sunshine we’ve had today in the Algarve. It’s tough down here.:D2:LOL::ROFLMAO::confused:

I fix my finger, after geting it caught in the meat mincer when I was making a shepards pie this morning

ohhh its sore:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::swear::swear::swear::swear:

If you think that was bad, what do you think the shepards thought about it?

Rubber plug in the fresh water tank, filled it up in preparation for going away and it was leaking, replaced it with chrome one from B&Q and hopefully it’s ok as not checked it again yet.

While sourcing a locking solenoid/activator for a rear door on my old Espace I found a window motor for the same door on ebay. I wouldn't have bothered replacing the existing non working item given its age but for £20 . . . It's now fitted and working, still waiting for the door lock which I eventually sourced on Amazon.fr

Thanks for the offer Brian. So far so good. See you soon.

Jeesus, where do I start?.

The other day, within 30 mins. I had.....

*Started a car with a flat battery,
*Pumped a flat tyre up on the same car,
*Renewed the light bulbs on an idiosyncratic cooker hood,
*Replaced the bolts on two Cheap shit Chinese sun loungers
*Replaced a halogen bulb on a bathroom mirror.

For someone else. And I was supposed to be on holiday.

This week I am at work..................thankfully

Yesterday I removed the kitchen tap out of the camper and put the original back ... no leaks at all! :D

Today I cut down one of the 3 double duvet covers we bought for the camper and made it into 2 singles sheets ... took flipping ages as my fl@ming sewing machine was playing up again so instead of taking half an hour it took 2 hours!!!! o_O I think that I've finally got the sewing machine sorted though. (y)

Also hand-stitched 2 pairs of hubby's jogging bottoms/sports slacks where he'd split them along the back 'bottom' seam from bending down!!!! :LOL: Also fixed the zip on a cushion cover.

Tomorrow it's cactus re-potting ... if you don't hear from me for a few days it'll be because I've got loads of the needles in my fingers! :eek:

Nice one @Minxy Girl I know how nasty cactus plants can be. You want to try getting them out of a angry parrot . He flew into one on our window ledge. So have fun.:oops:

I fixed a ferry to Dieppe on 12 May :dance2::dance2::dance2:

Which was followed 10 minutes later by the postman delivering a full body MRI appointment for 31st May. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Ah well, ferry wins :party::party:

Is it wise to delay the MRI? o_O

Well, I've been living with chronic pain for donkeys years, the morphine's cheaper than booze or wacky Baccy for feeling better as I'm an OAP and don't pay for it, don't really take away the pain but you feel so stoned you don't care. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I've been stymied for month after month from travelling, 12 in total, by illness, vehicle fault, family stuff, latest granddaughter, etc, that my soul is crying out for this journey, in a toss up between pain for a little longer or insanity the ferry wins, no argument.

It may seem a cavalier attitude to some but I'm certain it's the best decision for me at this time.

No @Minxy Girl, like a lot of men I can be a bit cavalier, even juvenile, when it comes to illness but I wouldn't ignore investigating a serious illness, no matter how much the travel bug had me by the throat.

Thanks, we will both most definitely enjoy, the need to get the wheels rolling is overwhelming right now.
