Tuesday it rained all day but we all went to Geevor Tin mine Museum which was very interesting. Lots to do and an underground excursion with panning for gold and gems for the kids. The cafe was very busy but the food was first class. Ham, eggs and ginormous hand cut chips was popular and I had sausages and mash with onion gravy and could not finish it.

Today was fine again so we went to Praa Sands beach and after that to the seal sanctuary at Gweek which the kids loved. They have just been out on the kayak and caught 4 mackerel for their tea!

Hooray, the weekend starts here!

Thames Head, near Cirencester. Going to find out if the Thames is running, or if they have turned it off due to the lack of rain :giggler:
Stayed there loved it , great stopover 👍

We went to Porthcurno today to the beach and there were loads of tourists heading to the Minack Theatre on the cliffs above the cove. We went in the Communications Museum Cafe and it was dire in terms of service but the coffee was nice. It was taking 20 minutes to make sourdough toast with assorted toppings for £8.50p so we passed and went for frangipane slices. Pics to follow.

Arriving back at the farm I was convinced I’d need the tractor to tow me off tomorrow morning so set to to put the towing eye in ready. Could I screw it in - No - it didn’t seem to line up with the hole in the bodywork so filed the hole bigger - still no joy - it seems the towing eye screw wont engage with the socket on the cab. After some considerable time I gave up and gave it a try to drive off. I let the Moho rock a bit back and forth then eased down on the throttle and she crept off the grass without a single slip of the wheels on the softer ground and grass after all the rain this week - phew!
