What are you up to this weekend?

Meeting up with my daughter, her husband and children in Somerset tomorrow for a belated Mothers Day lunch. Had to cancel last weekend as couldn't drive ( again). Weather supposed to be good too this weekend. :)

sunning it hopefully at bonterra park

Making the must of a week end with no rain. Washed the roof and solor panels and empted the 'garage' put some strong bleach in the grey tank to give that a clean. Will have a look at the brakes tomorrow MOT due soon. So nice to see the sun (y)

Monday morning off to Windermere for four nights, hope the weather holds, never been before. Booked the cc&c site there, anyone know any good walks under five miles?

We are at C&CC Bellingham at their Jupiter Star Party! Great site and people, lots of telescopes & astronomers, but so far have seen no stars due to cloud. However, it seems that it will clear around 8.30 tonight, so we are living in hope.... Also possibility of Northern Lights later as well.

Nice site but not sure we'll go back as we acquired our little Border Terrier from Bellingham village(legally) and scared she might want to go home if we visit.

We are at Whitby for the weekend, sunshine :sun:with a little patchy white cloud, think spring is here
at last. might chance getting the seats out later. .

been busy getting the bus ready for easter, removed and cleaned water pump, oiled and freed off all locker catches, filled water tank, checked all pipework after the frosts we have had. filled up 1 locker with beer and cider. just need to get the water heater to run on gas, works on electric ok, but does not fire up on gas

Just given the van its first wash of the year.
It's taken around five hours, just to wash, although I did get up on the roof and clean under the skylights and solar panel (y)

This is in preparation for our trip to the Netherlands in a couple of weeks.

Next time will be wash, polish, wax, so I'll pencil in a weekend for that one...

I did however wax the bonnet and front panels with Colinite 845, just to give it some extra protection.
It's the first time I've tried Colinite, must say it's amazing... so easy to use and a great finish :)

So thanks to everyone here who's recommended it - what a great product !

@Fletton I used a large stockinette cloth, very wet from the bucket and pushed it underneath with a broom handle.
Repeated until all the green was gone..
I dried using the same technique but with a large microfibre towel (y)

We spent a brilliant weekend in sunny Dorset......

Watched some people dangling hooks,

We spent another enjoyable weekend travelling all of 15 mies to the C&CC site at Chertsey and just enjoying some quality family time.

We had a lovely walk across the Thames and along its banks yesterday afternoon and then a long lazy supper at the pub opposite. Stargazing and plane-watching after dark, the four of us, with my 5 year-old daughter huddled in her sleeping bag on my lap, my son in his dressing gown and me and my wife in fleeces, hats and gloves and sipping good single malt has always been a favourite pastime of ours at this site. Last night was no different.

Clare made some fresh rolls in our bread maker beforehand and we ate those for lunch with home-grown beetroot and strong cheddar. More again in the Double Skillet with butter and marmalade for breakfast this morning. The smell of fresh warm bread was rather lovely...

Udo looked good after his long winter rest with everything working properly and his inside beautifully warm. His condition belies his age.

This S700, two years younger than Udo, looked somewhat forlorn but was at least being used.

What a lovely vintage van you have! And so great your children are having the MH experience . We camped with ours but always looked longingly at the luxury of the vans!

Hi Bellini :hi: Sounds like you had a great weekend , that's the best time when the kids are young, always an adventure for them no mater where or what they are doing. Those are the memories you don't forget and take with you for the rest of your life, and by the way, that van of yours looks great, a credit to you.(y)
